Game law violator.....please humor me with your information. I won't try to persuade you away from your opinion of him, that obviously won't happen. However, calling him a useless piece of garbage is going WAY over the line. He is one of the most influential men to ever walk the sidelines whether you like it or not.

Humor you or give you facts? When he shot his friend while bird hunting he did not possess a hunting license. There was another one as well that I believe involved waterfowl. I will do some digging.

Is Bobby Knight influential? Unfortunately yes. Just kind of shows what type of society we live in.

Edited: I am still searching for the exact nature of the two game law violations, but did come across another incident from his Wikipedia page. "
On October 21, 2007, James Simpson of Lubbock, Texasaccused Knight of firing a shotgun in his direction after he yelled at Knight and another man for hunting too close to his home Knight denied the allegations. An argument between the two men was recorded via camera phone and aired later on television."

Re: Just another reason Bob Knight is a tool!

As a guy who at times in his life has struggled a bit with loosing my temper I won't call a kettle black. However I don't like the way he head butted and or smacked around the kids. That's not his place to do that. He was a Hell of a basketball coach and most of his kids that went through his program became good people and citizens. Most of them love him for it to even though they didn't at the time he was doing it.

Now moving on to present day. He seems to have a mightier than thou attitude and seems to have forgotten how he once acted. He and Jigger ''Homer'' Phelps which I absolutely DETEST rant and rave about this and that. What motion did Kuric make, maybe I'm blind but I have watched that clip over and over and over and over and I don't see any **** motion. If you don't like Louisville Bobby and you don't, if you don't like Louisville Jigger and you most certainly don't JUST SAY SO. But don't make crap up during a game to fan your flames. The kid didn't do SQUAT.

This is has been a public service announcement and in no way reflects the views or stand points of fishin.com or it's owners or operators.

Now Jigger Phelps go choke on a chicken bone and tear your larynx out so you can never run your stupid mouth ever ever again!

After watching that clip, I agree that the Kuric kid didn't do nearly as much as some some players do after massive dunks. I think more T's should be given in instances like that.

Tim.....My family personally knows someone on the hunt you were talking about where Knight accidentally "peppered" (shot) the man. In bird hunting the hunters are always supposed to maintain a "line" and not walk in front of the others. In this case, the man who got shot admitted that he made a mistake and was ahead of the line. Knight did not expect this, and fired where he was supposed to. A far as the license goes, he should have had one. I know that all of the times he hunted with people that I know he did everything legal and never ignored game limits or licensing. By the way, Wikipedia can be a useful source......but, did you know that anyone can go in and change or add to the info.....it is not a very reliable source! Our school system banned its use in any research work, as have others.

    No.

At the risk of stating the obvious, anytime you shoot someone else on a bird hunt, you are not shooting where you are supposed to. If the guy was walking too far in front, you don't shoot. Period.

Winner winner chicken dinner. I've hunted since being squated and there is and never will be an excuse for shooting someone hunting. Terrible, horrible accident maybe, but excuse, naw I don't think so....................

When it comes to sports and sports figures everyone gets blinded by their love for their team, coach, players or even their memory of them.

I thought Politics talk on here got ridiculous but jeez the frenzy that can be whipped up around here by a bunch of "no vertical leap having, non jump shot havin, fact spoutin, non dribblin, couldn't run suicide sprint, shoulda woulda coulda, over the hill, ham samich eatin fans" is down right funny.

Sorry bout that it's just a joke, a joke, a joke. I include myself in that as well....uh kinda.

Watch it Don, we have two posters that I am aware of that hooped it up in college. I don't care what college they played at, just being good enough to play beyond high school is saying something. Don't get yourself dunked on and taunted!

Btw, if you watch the Kuric dunk, he never said a word and stared at the guy for maybe half a second. Two things to watch after the dunk. #1 If there was going to be a T it should have been on Jennings, he got so emotional you would have thought he dunked it. #2 Look at the Syracuse cheerleaders reaction. I think one of them flat fell in love with KK after that play.

TIM....LOL I guarantee they could! As long as I don't get the Kuric stare!

Quick story... I was playing some pick up games at a local court in Lexington many years ago and up walks Cedric Jenkins. Me and my bro in law against him and his nephew (i think) So I'm feeling cocky and say I'll take Cedric...LOL he abused me!! His knees were bad so dunking wasn't an option but man I could barely get around the guy and shoot he was so dang big and looked like he took up the whole court.
A real eye opener for sure but it was a blast and he was a pretty good dude.

    Mark,
I gotta hand it to ya...running kills me! I'm more a circuit, interval training type of guy. Like most of you guys that played sports the injuries from years ago seem to flare up the older I get.
