    Jimmer Fredette and BYU

I got a chance to watch BYU vs SDSU play today. I wanted to see if Jimmer was all hype or if he was for real. Well....the dude is one of the better players I seen this year. I thought he may be just a scorer, nope, he passed well, has active hands on defence, play good defence, and a good ball handler. I was fairly impressed. It will be interesting to see what they do in the NCAA tourney.

Jimmer is exceptional. I have gotten to see a few games of his this year, including the first game they played against San Diego St. This kid will have a very good career at the next level. If you haven't seen him, you are missing out. He can single handedly take over a game at any momoent and not just with his scoring ability. he is also a whole lot more athletic than he looks.

I agree that he is a great college player. However, name one person in the NBA with similar size and athletic abilities that is having a "good" career? I am in no way a fan of the NBA, but his skills and athleticism just don't translate.

J.J. Reddick is having a pretty good career and Jimmer is a better all around player and athlete than Reddick is.

I knew he would be one that might come up.....he is having a good year....not a good career yet. He is absolutely one dimensional though. I could see Jimmer being like him....on the right team. Reddick had a much better college career though and did it for several years at Duke playing the best competition night in and night out. I hope the best for Jimmer, but don't see him making it in the pros.

I think Fredette is a better player because he is just as smart but has more in his game than Reddick. He is a better passer, quicker and more athletic and his shooting is equal. He can also create his own shot a little better than Reddick. Granted, Reddick did play against much better competition in college, but BYU's schedule is not that bad.

Stephen Curry is having a pretty good year and I think Jimmer is right there with him and his ability.

I agree with Woody and Tim he will do fine in the NBA. In my opinion Reddick has had a very solid career so far as a professional. Look at his numbers, nothing at all to scoff at.

Jimmer is very Reddick like but actually has better skills and is a better player all around.

He is a good comparison too.....Curry is more athletic though. Only time will tell.....I hope he make it and does well....there are just very few like him that do.

I belive he is as athletic as Curry. He is deceptively quick and can jump through the roof.

BYU's chances in the tourney just got slimmer. Starting center suspended for rest of the season.
