My trailer was doing the same thing a few years ago, plus my surge brakes were not working. Tony's did a great job for me, and it was fast service.

I have an EZ loader trailer and spoke with EZ loader last week about my tire wearing on the outside edge. They told me that it is due to trailer alignment. The only way to correct this problem is take it to a shop and they actually bend the axle on the trailer.Originally Posted by Fisherjoe

Keep us posted on this and how much it cost, ok? But you really won't be able to tell if it works until you put some miles on it and your tires are holding up. still, I'd rather only ruin 1 set of tires vs a set every year.

Ditto that.....would like to know cause and how to fix it. My trailer is fine, but there are a lot of potholes out there.

Everything checked out OK with the trailer. Axle was square and in alignment. Wheels were square and true. Bearings were good. Trailer tracks 3/4" to the left, but they said that is not a problem. They suggested, and I have suspected, that there may be an issue with the rims, such as being out of round. I have noticed in the past that some tires have required several ounces of lead(6 or 7) when balanced. I have had several different brands and types (radial and bias) of tires. All have been trailer tires, not cheapos, and rated for correct weight or higher. I'm going to swap out rims to see if it helps. Any other ideas?
By the way, the service guy, Ron, spent about 90 minutes working on the trailer and picking my brain (that part didn't take long) and they did not charge me a dime. I expected to at least pay a minimum service charge (and would have done so gladly) so I was very surprised and happy. I'll definitely go back if I have any more issues.

Not really.........I could tell one wheel was bent out and one was bent in. I was eating one on the inside, and one on the outside.........every 6mos I'd flip them so they wear evenly.
My last trip to Dale, I had to replace a tire on the ramp. I had it fixed shortly after that, and put new tires on it.
Time will tell.

Wow!!! You can't beat that. Just from this thread alone he's going to have my business if I need my trailer checked out. Sounds like a great service guy.
I plan on taking my boat out at least every 2 weeks this year but surely that wouldn't amount to any wear on the tires in less than 20 trips. Time will tell I guess.

Put new rims on trailer and have run over 1000 miles with no visible uneven wear. Usually by now the tires would be showing major wear. Hopefully, my problem is fixed. Did some more research and found out there seems to be a consensus among mechanics that it is hard to find a good OEM steel rim on boat trailers. Almost all recommend aluminum rims, even the ones who don't sell rims.
Just thought I would throw that out there for future consideration.
