Does anyone have experience with scents? Here lately it seems like a tougher bite during different parts of the day. I was just curious to see if anyone thought scent made any difference. I am looking at getting some of the Bass Assassin BANG attractant, but I am also hearing positive things about the YUM brand.

I like the bang spray. And I also use the mustad activate I always use scent don't know how well it really works but I believe it does and that's all that matters. Confidence in something is a major factor.
I had a freind that turned me on to a attractant used mainly for float and fly fishing called fish dope. Its sort of like a petroleum jell with red flakes and there a 2 different scents but i always use garlic. It stays on you bait better than a spray or liquid. It is expensive and comes in a tube i think 1.5 oz. But 1 tube usually last me all of the fishing season.
I went through a period last year where I couldn't get the fish to hang on to the bait....I'd take a jardown and set the hook with nothing there....did this for a few days before i tried using a scent....once i started using it, it seemed like i couldnt get the fish to let go....whether the scent had anything to do with it, I'll always be using scent on my soft plastics from now on
I use Strike Force Attractant. Seems to really make a difference at times.

I have never used scents, sounds like I might have to give it a shot.
I've used them ever since fish formula came out, i think that was in the late 70's or early 80's. I'm a believer in them. Now i use either bang, yum, or spike-it. I've also had some luck with kickin' bass.
i use them some, but i think its a gimmick. i dont think it hurts anything either.
Confidence - I spray all my jigs, every hr or so. Only spray other baits after handling sunscreen or bug spray.

And I know it sounds crazy and you may not believe me, but try wd-40. My father and I use it a lot and had great success on plastic. He just reminded me and I will continuing using, I completely forgot
Haha...the classic WD40! We used to spray that stuff on our salmon eggs while trout fishing back home in UT...it would outfish regular salmon eggs 2:1.I never thought about spraying it on plastics for bass....I'm going to have to try that....although, it would be hard to spray anything else than spike it chartreuse garlic on my plastics...love that stuff!
