Did you plant seedless ones? if so, do you have a watch dawg?

I usually think of July 4th as being prime time for the berries, but noticed there are quite a few ripe ones on the vines now. I have several wild 2 year old vines on a ditch line I had cleared out a couple of years ago and they are loaded with good sized berries. Also have some 2 year old thorn less vines in the garden and it looks like they are going to have a good crop in another 2 weeks.
So,anyway, I grabbed a pail this morning and collected a few of the owners share. Picked about 5 cups before my lower back said that's enough.
Now, that's enough to make a BlackBerry Cobbler! Anyone have a good Ole Southern Receipt to share?![]()

I was out clearing a fence row this weekend. Picked a few myself. Got a bunch of chiggers around privates, legs ankles.
I can see why they sell for $3.00 a pint!!! If I were to pick them for sale I would charge $25.00 a pint!!!
scratch, scrath, scratch. Rite Aid is out of chiggar rid till tuesday. I even sprayed my legs with Off before I started on the fence row.
10-4 on the chiggers. Hoping I didn't pick up any of those hitch hickers.I was out clearing a fence row this weekend. Picked a few myself. Got a bunch of chiggers around privates, legs ankles.

I heard a tea bag soaked in gas never gets chiggers.I was out clearing a fence row this weekend. Picked a few myself. Got a bunch of chiggers around privates, legs ankles.

Man I have had that area attacked before and it really is a pain.
Thats why its a known and proven fact[according to FOX news], that all chiggers are female, they really know where to hurt a guy. I found out the hard way, being a tried and true urbanite, my mouth watered at the sight of all those free rasberrys on my property, have never picked one since!
No recipe, but I ALWAYS purchase a Blackberry/Peach pie from Betties Pies in Two Harbors, MN when I come back from my spring canadian trips. Missah Boom, do you actually mean you would shoot an old man over a measly three or four quarts of berries??, are you a good shot?
Not a very good shot, that's why I use the 12 gauge. Use it mostly to keep the local critters out of the garden.
Rabbits ate my spring lettuce, spinach and latter stripped all the leaves off my pepper plants. Last year, deer mowed down my beans, ate some of the blackberry vines, as well as stripping most of the branches off a young apple tree.
But as far as picking blackberries goes, guess I could make an exception for those on the board.![]()
