if you looking for a place to crash then this might work for ya $65 a nite
My partner and I are going to stay at Towne Motel in September during our tournament. They are in town before turning towards the lake. I have never been there yet so can't tell you much about it. I saw pictures of the place on-line and it looks okay. I think we are being charged $44/night. They do have boat hook-ups too.
Dreamland Motel 270-384-2131 $40 single bed $50 double bed
Located about 3/4 mile from the courthouse square on South HWY 61. You will be about 8 miles from Holmes Bend boat ramp.
I have never stayed there so I do not know about boat hook ups. All I know is that it is the cheapest place in town.
On the right between the square and Lee's Famous Recipe? Isn't that the place that has drug bust all the time?Dreamland Motel 270-384-2131 $40 single bed $50 double bed

One place you don't want to stay is the Lucky Vista motel. (think I have name right) It is a dump.
Agreed, and you have the name right. If someone can afford a high performance bass boat, a vehicle to pull it with and the gas to operate both then they should be able to afford a place to stay that is clean, comfortable and safe. It might be difficult to explain to your wives how you picked up those little critters while you were by yourself in a cheap motel room.
I've stayed at the cabins at Holmes Bend and they are really nice. Big screen TV and nice furniture, right on the lake. We stayed during the winter rates, so I'm not sure how expensive they are during the summer, but I'm thinking they are a little pricey without the winter discount.
It'll be a bit of a drive whether you stay in Columbia or Campbellsville but as for the nicest you might look into the new Holiday Inn in Campbellsville...I've heard it's pretty nice....As for the lake, it should be good and full Saturday night as I know of 2 other tournaments going on...I'll be out there fishing the R&W night division
We'll be fishing the Hooks and Sinkers Club Tournament out of Lexington Saturday night. We'll have between 18 and 25 boats. Do you think any of these places will rent us a room from early Saturday morning to early Saturday evening? It'll be a bit of a drive whether you stay in Columbia or Campbellsville but as for the nicest you might look into the new Holiday Inn in Campbellsville...I've heard it's pretty nice....As for the lake, it should be good and full Saturday night as I know of 2 other tournaments going on...I'll be out there fishing the R&W night division
