Tim when are you gonna be ready to make a prediction.....after it's over, lol?

    Louisville 21
    Cats 17

As bad as both of these teams have played thus far, I think they ought to just skip the football part...come out to mid-field and have a good old fashioned "YO MOMMA SO FAT" dissing battle...

In which case, I'd give Louisville the slight edge:
29 disses to 28 disses, in overtime.

Re: Cats vs. Cards football discussion and predictions

    UK

QB - Not the greatest, but gets the job done due to experienced front line

Offensive - Exp. front line, WR's must have some talent and should get open against Rookie DB's for U of L. RB's are little experienced, but with the Exp. of the Front line, should find holes to get thru and shine.

Defense - Returns more player's than most sec teams, but here again were not talking about super star player's that would be returning. Like if they were returning to a team like say Florida or Ohio State, but to a KY team. These guys are proven veterans having played in the SEC. They should basically manhandle U of L's Lack of expence Front line and have a field day with Will Stein and the RB's for U of L. Look for at least 4 to 5 t/o's for the game from U of L.

Special Teams - Have ability to return ball on punts and kick off returns for score if the holes appear. Kicker's should do their job when called upon and rack up some extra points and field goals when it's their turn to score.

    U of L

QB - Not the tallest qb in the world, but has some exp. in the pocket and can throw the ball to open wr's.

Offense - Very inexperienced, can't take the time spent on the field against two mediocre teams as in Murray State and FIU. Give FIU credit, they were not Murray State, and their exp showed weakness's to U of L
's offense. RB's should be a lot better than they have been so far, but now their facing a veteran def. on the Ky side of the ball. If U of L's offense can't open up holes in the Uk Def. and get thru. it's gonna be another wasted effort for the RB's. WR's yes these guys are Rookie's mostly, but have proven they can catch the ball when thrown to them and score. But since U of L's offense is gonna get tested by a real Div. I defense, wr's might be looking for the ball and not get too many touch's.

Defense - Return several player's and might give UK some fits against the run. The DB's are total Rookie's with only a few games under thier belt for exp. Might just give up a few big plays to UK like they did against FIU, but a big turnover might be a turning point in this game, but don't look for it to come from the DB's.

Special Teams - Return good punt / kickoff player's who can run the ball back. Onlt thing to stop them is again a proven Defensive Special Teams on UK's side of the ball. Kicker's should score if given the chance, but few chance's are most likely to come in this game.
Turnover's will decide this game in a nutshell...outcome to UK.....

    I say outcome will be:

    UK - 27

    U of L - 10

I am going to say Cats 17 Cards 13 (man it hurts to say that). I believe lack of expereince, especialy on the offensive line keeps Louisville from running the football. I don't see a lot of points scored for either team, but UK is positive in the turnover ratio and the Cards are negative. I agree with Mills (did I really just write that?) that turnovers will be the key to the game. The team that wins the turnover battle will win the game and I believe that will be UK.

By the way, UK's best running back (Raymond Sanders) is out....just announced....had a knee injury and had to have it scoped. He's out for 2-3 weeks.

Who is the other rb they have? Is it Clemons? I believe it is a pretty good true freshman, but can't remember.

I believe one big play one way or the other on special teams could wind up deciding the game....either a return TD or a turnover close to their own goal line

Yep, it's Clemons...he had a breakaway run for 80+ yards against Central Michigan. He's a true freshman, but has potential.

I closely agree with this, but think it will be a higher score with the fumbles and interceptions.

    UL - 31
    UK - 24
