I posted that those have both been explained and refuted.

I don't know what else I'm supposed to THINK about what you said, because you SAID little. But again, that is how you operate.

    Guess GOD CHANGED HIS MIND:

Wurzelbacher indicated that he was no longer considering running for political office, and he added that he "talked to God about that and He was like, 'No.'"[41]
On October 7th, 2011, Wurzelbacher filed paperwork with the Ohio Secretary of State's office to challenge Marcy Kaptur for her seat in Congress in 2012.[42]

[QUOTE=FlyLie;468911].........Also, any candidate should have a basic education.....

BASIC EDUCATION?!! I have spent some time trying to find out exactly how much education "Joe the Plumber" has and haven't been able to find it. Would you tell me EXACTLY how much education the man has and post your source of information? Just because the man is a plumber doesn't mean that he is illiterate or a dimwit. What do you consider a basic education?

I have read a lot of posts on other boards that were hammering the man because of his lack of education. Strangely enough, NOT ONE of them stated how much he had; I haven't even read it in news reports.

I can tell you from my own experiences that some people, who don't have much education, try to tear down the person who does in order to make themselves look smarter and/or compensate for their own inadequacies. Every damned one of them uses the same two words to try and describe educated people, "Educated fool." We're not talking about me here, and I apologize for bringing my experiences into the conversation but when you said, 'basic education' I want to know just what you mean. I once had an ignorant smart@ss call me an educated fool. I went off on him and wouldn't let up until he explained to me why he called me that name and why he said it. Here is his exact words, "you use 'high dollar' words that nobody understands," and I asked him what a 'high dollar' word was because I had never bought one. He said, "you just said 'permission' and nobody but you knows what it means." I lauged until my ribs ached, then answered, 'you really never went to school, did you?' I set out to find the extent of his education and learned that his mother allowed him to quit school in the fifth grade...when he was 16 years old. After all those years he still hadn't learned when to keep his mouth shut..he just had to open it and prove he was a fool.

If you attended some of my husband's classes, you would be surprised at the number of people he meets who have advanced college degrees. It is unwise to assume that the man or woman working as a "grunt" (hard, back breaking job) has little to no education. There are school teachers, nurses, administrators, etc., who have left their chosen career primarily because of job burnout, layoff, or because they hated the routine grind of what they were doing. They are now ironworkers, welders, millwrights, carpenters, housekeepers, and pipefitters (plumbers). Some of them were just returning to jobs they had held before college graduation and were dissatisfied with their career choice. Others wanted to try a new, less stressful job.

Thus far, only "Joe the Plumber" truly knows "Joe the Plumber" and what he is capable of. I wish him all the best.

There is quite a bit of truth to this. In addition to this there are quite a few people that have taken early retirement after reaching their career goals, and now work as a "grunt" part-time just to have something to do or to have play money or to just get away from the wife for a few hours a day

Without an education a person needs intelligence to be able to survive in this world. Without intelligence a person needs to get an education in order to survive.

If a person has both intelligence and an education then more than likely he's going to be well off.

You guys seem to be going off on each other, and I really don't care if you continue it or not, but...

Until a few years ago, my employer sent checks to the Metro Revenue Commission (previously known as Geo's Louisville Sinking Fund). Because nobody changed the vendor name and the vendor name field was limited to a certain number of characters, here's how it read on the checks:

    COMMISSIONERS OF SIN

    Freakin' riot.

Re: OMG, Joe the Plumer is running for office ...

Hey I took an early retirement, but I read what retirement meant, and what its supposed to be like.Over 20 yrs now, NEVER considered another career. Why would anyone want to quit a great high paying job, to take another one? I also look at these "volunteers" they think they are doing a great public service, in a few cases maybe, in a lot of cases they are taking up space that a person without a job could fill.I've talked to some codgers who needed to go back to work, feel for them, some needed money for medical expenses, had children out of work.
