I didn't see it, but is that legal -- to take antlers from a road kill deer? I've thought about that many times. What better to use for rattling than the real thing? Always wondered if this was legal and never found out.....

Alright guys i was on my way to work this morn and someone hit a big ol buck right after the road work. went back to get the horns and someone had taken the whole deer. Was a little broken harted. Anyone elts see it?

It is not legal. I think you have to have a letter for the fish and wildlife officer in the area to possess the deer.or the officer that works the wreck. (if it was hit by a car) I think this is true not 100% sure. It was there around 8:40 and gone by 9:40. Saw another east bound about 100 yrds from the other that alreay had the horns cut off. Look to be a good deer to. They must be starting to chase some.
Definitely! I've been seeing more and more each day on the side of the road. I hate driving the West KY Parkway this time of year...like playing dodgeball/dodgedeer all the way....
I think the bucks are still in their bachelor groups, but starting to break up now. Saw two nice fully mature bucks feeding in a fresh cut bean field the other day. Fresh cut bean fields are where it's at right now! Just wish I had a few to hunt!!!
