Barren Lake

Got there about noon & left about 3.I only caught 1 LM today but the Hybirds bite was great but all small.Found out there are yellow bass in Barren too with an 11inch YB.The small Hybird mite be white bass i need too take a better look next time.Lake is full of bait fish too by Wallnut creek.

Barren has some decent size Yellow Bass. Last summer I found a huge school of yellows that I beleive LM were feeding on. I pulled some nice LM out from under the school of yellows on a crankbait that greatly reseambled yellows.

Fished for hybrids with my son.....caught 75 between 4-7 lbs. They can't get any better!!!!! Did that 3 times last week. 17-35ft deep.

Wow i was fishing shadow with a trap on flats.Down from Austin ramp in a kayak.I found this pattern a few yrs ago fishing a tournament but then they was all 4 too 7 lbs.I think when the water gets lower the big fish will be there,thats what i hope...........

Yesterday I'd been better off drifting in the wind with chicken livers. We bassed fished mid-day for 4 hours with 1 slot fish apiece. They were the only bites we had.
