Now Tim, how can you justify your post?

The man set what one of the longest game playing accomplishments in the NFL...He won a Super Bowl..Went to numerous Division Championships and so on....

I really think he was one of the best qb's in the League while he was in his prime.... Hard for a QB to come into a new system and get that team back to a Championship game in only one year.....

Forgive me for not being impressed with the consecutive starts streak. It just means he went to work everyday, there are plenty of people on this board that go to work every day, its expected.

In two years Aaron Rodgers won the same amount of Super Bowls, and they very well could win it again this year. I believe that the Packers would have been better quicker if they had dumped Favre two seasons earlier and went with Rogers.

Favre has the record for the most pass completions, but he also has the most attempts. If you throw the ball a lot, I would hope that you would also complete a lot. He also led the league in interceptions a few times. He made poor decisions that constantly hurt his team and he cost them as many games as he won for them. His prima dona retirement/not retirement was a detriment to the team along with his desire to always be the center of attention. He is one of those guys that IMO played for the name on the back of the jersey instead of the name on the front.

I see where it was confusing. I should have said he has won as many Super Bowls as Favre, thats what I meant.

Aaron Rodgers is a big reason why I am 6-2 in my fantasy football league.

Careful Art...some of our kids maybe UK fans as well...Your constant bashing of ALL UK is getting really annoying. Say you went to commonwealth to a Murray State game...Did you stand at the gate and take survey to everyone that entered. Did everyone blast you for the shirt?? No....You are entitled to your opinion as well as anyone, but when you say ALL UK fans you are including me....and that's a problem. I have yet to wear out any Cardinal team or fan(except for Tim and Mhall..we like it that way cause it's tongue in cheek).
But you and your fishing buddy are the pots calling the kettles black...

Ryan, I believe Scott County recruits, based on an inordinate number of transfers, most notably Eauton and Jackson (I believe Jackson's transfer was denied by KHSAA) and what other coaches and administrators talked about in the media room once at Rupp Arena during the Sweet 16.

If you are asking about St. X and Trinity football, I am 100% certain they recruit because we have been through it. I still have a copy of the yfinancial aid form from the Archdiocese of Louisville. I was told where to get it and how to fill it out by a three years ago by a freshman football coach at one of those two schools. Both schools would have assistant coaches at the Bullitt County Youth Football League games and they would talk to certain players and parents.

If you look at the current roster, some of those kids didn't not attend a catholic grade school and didn't play in the catholic school league. This includes their start receiver James Quick, who is one of the top 2 or 3 football players ever in the state. As a matter of fact, he played his youth league football for the Lyndon Packers.

Think its possible that St. X and Trinity attract so many people because they are the best SCHOOLS around? Just look at the test scores, college maturation rates, ect. The kids that come out of these schools are on the average leaps and bounds over most other schools in the area, and the parents know their son will be in a structured environment that will best prepare them for college. For example, look at Rolandon 'Deuce' Finch, rushed for something like 240 yards for Boston College last week. You can't get into a school like that without being committed to your school work, not just football. When his career is over, he probably won't be in the NFL, but will have a first rate education from a great school. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, Male, Manual and a few others are good public schools. My point was that when looking at all of the Jefferson and surrounding county schools, they are better. A lot more one on one time also exists so that students, whether they play a sport or not, are given the best chance to succeed. I graduated from St. X, and my class had 100% college maturation. There is not a single public school in the state that can claim that I'll promise you. And also, anyone can apply for financial aid, not just athletes. These are not full scholarships though, the most I have heard of anyone getting was 2500$, which is 25% of the tuition. The bottom line is that many families have to make sacrifices to send their sons to these schools. They wouldn't have entrance exams and waiting lists if many people did not think it was worth it for their son to get a quality education.
