    D&L Jigs

Picked up a couple D&L jigs as Backwaters on "buy local" Sat. and don't know much about them. I went to their website but it isn't much.

Anyone know what kind of hooks are in them? I am assuming that the Advantage jig is more of a grass type with the more pointed head and the closed line tie while the regular D&L jig has a more standard all-around style head.

    Thanks, Steve

I could not tell you much about the D & L jigs, but I bought a Tim Poe's Spinner bait on "buy local" Saturday. I was wondering if he has a Web site or a catalog? I could not find a web site but I would like to see what all he offers as spinner baits and jigs. If anybody knows, thank you in advance.

D&L jigs are fantastic. The baby advantage is a nice compact jig and does well in brush and weeds. Toss a nice thumping chunk on it and it's deadly.

I don't know what kind of hook is in them but have caught fish on them for years. I really like the performance of them very well

I bought $300 worth of D&L jigs about 2 months ago if that tells you anything.. I think they have Gamakatsu hooks in them, atleast some of them do if not all. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Re: D&L Jigs

D&L jigs are very good jigs and the price is great too. Its a Mustad hook used in 95% of the jigs that are out there, Im fairly sure. A very good hook, gamakatsu hooks on jigs are very expensive and usually raise the price, thats why its getting more common to see jigs for $4.

The advantage jig is an all purpose jig. You can swim it, drag it, pitch it. It will do everything you would want to do with a jig. The 1/2 oz advantage has a good 4/0 hook.

I love D&L jigs. Use them about 95% of the time I'm throwing a jig.

D&L is based out of Corbin, KY if I'm not mistaken. Some of their jig are made w/ gammy hooks. As for the rest I'm not sure. As far as how good they are. They make up 95% of my jigs. Same goes for everyone else I know as well.
