you hear it all the time, we have to many regulations on every company for the economy to grow. company's will do most anything they can get away with. to hurry up and get the job done. I've seen it done at work over the years, and I'm sure you guys have where you work also. but this right here takes the cake. http://www.wkyt.com/home/headlines/S...142014093.html

I myself am sick of this "no regulation " crapola. Its basic science, for an action there is a reaction. If a company makes an inferior product, that puts people into harms way, should they be allowed to just continue doing it. I a contractor wants to save time and money by skimping on cement, is alright, Regulations come about because they were NEEDED. Did any of you guys ever use coal as a heating material? Remember the soot coming out of the chimney, the ashes that needed to be disposed of. And that was just for private utility use. When I was a kid, living near 3 steel mills, we didn't have white snow very long, flue dust made it almost imposible for the parents to hang laundry when the wind was the wrong direction.Do we need to go back there. Some regulations work real well, like seat belts.Dont like em, but use em.You need a balance. The wolves should not watch the sheep[niether should some goodoleboyz].
This doesn't sound like a regulation issue. I think REGULATIONS already exist against this stuff. This sounds like a FOOL doing something illegal.you hear it all the time, we have to many regulations on every company for the economy to grow. company's will do most anything they can get away with. to hurry up and get the job done. Instead of more regulation how about this guy get a 50,000K fine, and a year or 5 in jail. STRICT enforcement, with some SERIOUS bite is what is needed.
Kind of like laws we have on the books for all kinds of crap, but rarely get enforced, and when they do get enforced, the consequences are minimal.

Driver needs to be charged and fired. Company needs to be charged and sanctions need to be brought against company. Boss most likely told the driver where to dump. Of course, that will never be proven. People who use that water could become very ill. Nothing about this is ok, it is just plain wrong and hurts innocent people. Send a message out to other idiot companies that they too will be charged if they do it.
your right, regulation do already exist. the point I was making, was company's do these type of things with regulations in place. can you only imagine what company's would do without our watchdogs to keep them in line. This doesn't sound like a regulation issue. Its not just sewage, its many things not exactly friendly to man or environment.
The problem is easier to pay the fine than make changes, fines need to be heavier than what courts or even epa can levy.
Ohio river barge companies have often flouted the laws, with disposal of chemicals etc.
Cities pay fines as cheaper than redoing sewage plants, high water tp issue, etc.
We live in the now not yesteryear.Crap that was designed for 1930 wont cut it.
Sewage plants made for 30,000 now support a much larger population.
Im glad im in the country now days.
"The company declined to comment on camera, but someone with the business said over the phone that he knows he made a mistake."
Yeah, right, a "mistake." Oops! I hate it when people who get caught red-handed like that say, "I made a mistake." It was no mistake, it was a calculated decision to flout the law. He needs to get locked up, and the company fined, big time.
And he had been dumping more of it BEHIND HIS HOUSE??!! Gross!! I guess he wasn't into grilling out in his back yard much!
