BIG HOPE 1 (The Pink Barge)

I'm not sure if everyone saw this on the news or not, or in the news paper. I attached a link below so you can see all about it. Anywho, we get to be the first to load it here in Madison. It will be loaded with corn. We are going to start the loading on the 21st. It is for breast cancer awareness & a percentage of the net profit made from this barge for at least the next 5 years will go to cancer research. Seeing how my better half is a cancer survivor it means alot to me to be the first to load this barge. We will have an area taped off so people can come see it being set in and loaded, take pictures if they like. There are alot of businesses that are donating alot of time & money for this first loading of this barge to cancer research also. If you or someone you know is a cancer survivor & would like to see this just shoot me a PM & I will give you more details. We will have coffee & donuts that morning also.

That is really cool....a pink barge to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research. It is an awesome act of love and charity. Do you know which waterway the barge will travel and its destination?

Recently one of the policemen here lost his wife to breast cancer. The Chief of Police and Mayor gave permission for the police department to paint one of their Dodge Challengers pink, in memory of the officer's wife, and to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research. It is the coolest looking "cop car" I have ever seen.

While it wasn't breast cancer, I am a two-time cancer survivor, now CANCER FREE thanks be to God.

Congrats bug! I watched my Mom beat many types of cancer and it's a wonderful gift to get another chance or chances at enjoying the things you love!

    Congrats bug.

It will travel from here down the Ohio to the Mississippi & on down to New Orleans where it will be off loaded onto a ship to go overseas. Then it should head back this way the same way it went down to be loaded again.
