I guess it's all part of the new non-traditional tradition.

Ended the series with IU, citing neutral court BS (he did the same thing at Memphis, I guess the Tigers are a non-traditional school as well) and tried to spin it like it was all on IU, turns out that IU was the one trying to keep the series going even after cow turned out to be scared of Bloomington. Turns out, past behavior really is a good indicator of future behavior! Of course, no reason to play IU when you replaced them on the schedule with Portland (the school, not the Trailblazers).

Tim you just post the same stuff on every board that you are a member of. I just read this post on KY hunting. You are usually one of my favorite reads until you start the Cal BS.
Why is it that only the Indiana fans care at all about this?
I know UK was a signature win for the Hoosiers last year....enough for a once tradition-rich school to rush the court like they were a mid-major, but you don't see people from UK crying over losing this game.
Some of that probably has to do with the way we were treated up there in Bloomington.
I spend time on both this board and Kyhunting. I talk to people on each of these boards. Why in the world would I not put it on here and why does it matter?
Know1 that is a cop out blaming the fans. It happened once in 43 years that there was some bad behavior and you guys use it as a cop out.
My main point is that UK and its fans don't care if this series ends. It seems to only be a big deal to the Hoosiers.I spend time on both this board and Kyhunting. I talk to people on each of these boards. Why in the world would I not put it on here and why does it matter?

It is a big deal because it is one of the all-time good rivalries in the sport and it is ending for selfish reasons. Might as well have Duke/UNC quit playing. How about Alabama and Auburn quit playing each other in football or Ohio St./Michigan. Rivalries are the best part about college sports and it is stupid to end this one.
Plus the fact that Cal and Barnhardt tried to lay this all at the feet of IU is ridiculous. It is the exact same crap Cal tried to pull at Memphis with Gonzaga. He wanted to play Gonzaga at a nuetral site and then have them play Memphis at the Memphis downtown arena, which is the Fed Ex Forum and Memphis hoke court. Now he has suckered Baylor into playing UK at Cowboy Stadium but then have the return game in Rupp.
UK does travel well but Cowboys stadium is a home game for Baylor, just not on their home court...Tim you've usually been fairly unbiased in your opinions even though we know you're a UL fan, but you're starting to get a little carried away with yourself....You're starting to sound like a few UL fans on this board that I'll leave unnamed that would rather bash UK than breatheIt is a big deal because it is one of the all-time good rivalries in the sport and it is ending for selfish reasons. I hate to see the IU/UK rivalry end and think it's a completely stupid move for both schools...As fans we need those early season matchups to get fired up about, and Portland won't do the job
FIL what was biased about what I wrote. I understand UK fans travel as good or better than any team in the country, but Cowboy Stadium is not Baylor's home court. Why don't they play the return game at Freedom Hall to make it a little more fair? I am not bashing UK, I am bashing Cal and Barnhardt because it is ridiculous to do this and then try and blame it on IU. As I explained above, Cal did the exact same thing at Memphis and it was BS then and it is BS now.UK does travel well but Cowboys stadium is a home game for Baylor, just not on their home court...Tim you've usually been fairly unbiased in your opinions even though we know you're a UL fan, but you're starting to get a little carried away with yourself....You're starting to sound like a few UL fans on this board that I'll leave unnamed that would rather bash UK than breathe

The series has been so one-sided for so long that I really think it's a stretch to call it one of the all-time good rivalries. It is a big deal because it is one of the all-time good rivalries in the sport and it is ending for selfish reasons. Might as well have Duke/UNC quit playing. How about Alabama and Auburn quit playing each other in football or Ohio St./Michigan. That's the way it was billed during the lead-in to the game this past year at Assembly Hall. I think almost everyone would agree with that unless they're wearing blue blinders.
Shoot if Baylor played UK at Baylor's on-campus arena the first thing Baylor would have to do is go on a big run to take the UK crowd out of the game..........it'd be even worse at Cowboy stadium!
UK fans don't care about the game. IU should just find another school to schedule and be done with it. That *****, but that's today's college basketball.............
