    UK/ U of L Pick 'em

Okay, getting down to crunch time this weekend. Lets hear your picks for the game Sunday and why.

I am taking Louisville 30-17. I expect the game to be close in the first three quarters with the Cards holding a 7- to 10-point lead going into the fourth. I expect the Cats to start having to throw to catch up and some turnovers happening and Charlie keeping the ball in the ground with a couple of long bruising drives for scores at the end.

    Keys to the game:

#1 Louisville's offensive line vs. UK d-line. Louisville has a senior at center and at left tackle. Both have started for a couple of years, but both were out with injury for this game last year. Anchor that with three sophomores who all have starting experience things like good.

For UK, Mister Cobble and Donte Rumph are big boys clogging up the middle. They could provide a battle for the O-line. I still say advantage Louisville!

#2 The running game. For the past 16 years, the team with the leading rusher in the game has won. I don't expect this year to be any different. With Louisville having the more experienced offensive line and running backs, I say advantage Louisville. Especially with Clemons missing the game for UK.

#3 Coaching. I think Louisville has the superior coaching staff across the board. They have lots of experience working together. Moving Watson to O.C. was a great move IMO. Comparing Joker to Charlie Strong, I have to say HUGE ADVANTAGE to the Cards!

Guess we will find out Sunday!

I see with Big Blue Blinders, but I'm not blind

    UL-42
    UK-17

The better the conditions, the worse the defeat....Heavy rain and sloppy conditions could keep the game closer than it should be

Off to the game, rain just moved in and is supposed to last for a couple of hours. Going to Card March and then some tailgating with friends, 3:30 kickoff. It is days like today that God made Frogg Togg rain suits. Go Cards, Beat Purdue!

I was pretty close, score doesn't show how not close this game really was. Go CARDS.

About what I expected...no surprises for me on this one. Without a couple of key fumbles in the red zone, it would have been closer, but still wouldn't have mattered. Louisville is the better squad this year.

    Good game, Cards.

Y'all will feel like all-World BCS Championship contenders by the time you work through that tough schedule...will have to prove to the haters that you are real in the bowl game.

I'd rather have that problem than be home for the holidays like the boys in blue!!

Settle down Cards fans, we have not accomplished anything yet. Next week, we have to play a D-1 team, Missouri St. Once we face some real competition, we will find out what we are made of. After all, it was only UK.

Q, are you serious??? We could have named the score, we decided to put in the back up QB so as not to humiliate the kayuts!

I am calling it right here, WKU beats UK because they have out-recruited them in the last two seasons and they are better coached!

My comment there may have been a little "tounge in cheek" Tim...lol

Everybody knows that in reality, had UK called some timeouts instead if saving them all for the next game, we would have won by a couple touchdowns. That, and us not wanting to show all of our stuff too early...saving a little for conference. SEC! SEC! SEC!

What's all this Western Kentucky talk? We play one game at a time and need to focus on prepping for Kent State before we lose to the Hilltoppers. Gosh!

I was yanking your chain, except for the WKU part. It may sound sill;y, but WKU is building something with Taggart as head coach. He may be the best young head coach in America and he has already done a good job of recruiting the state of Kentucky.
