Virginia Republicans Give Blacks the Finger on MLK Day | Mother Jones
Wait for the black democrats absence to rezone the district and call it a day in memory of a confederate general on MLK day....
Nothing surprises me anymore.

I find it interesting the headline Mother Jones chose to use for this.
I actually was expecting to see a video or something of a bunch of white guys telling a bunch of black guys to F off and flipping the bird.
Wonderful headline..........
You wrap yourself up in the constitution. Is what several of the states proposing legal, maybe, is it ETHICAL? iT SAYS WE THE PEOPLE, NOT SOME OF US THINK.
And to the republic for which---. Democracy,we the people. Some of us. Tough sh-t its MY way OR Republic, democracy, oligarcy, autotacracy. Its human nature I guess. Say it isn't so.
The line about it being a "chin stroker" why so few blacks support the Republican Party is typical black rhetoric. There are many things wrong with race relations in this country and the media along with folks like Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan and others love to keep the poor neglected black notion alive.
I see no mention of MLK's party affiliation or beliefs in that article. It's automatically assumed he was a blue blood democrat just because he was black! That point alone shows me how credible that article was and its true intention of racism. Mlk tried to stay independent of both parties and I agree with that!!!
Gets a little old constantly hearing how racist we are. If we're so bad how did a black man (well half black anyway) get to be the top executive in America?
I didn't vote for him, but it has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He could be red, yellow, brown, or white and his politics would still stink.
You can only be a racist if you're white. Imagine what an uproar there'd be if 90% of white people voted for Romney regardless of their political beliefs.
Better wash your hands after visiting that web site you pulled the link from. What a steaming pile of refuse. Bet their web hoster has to cover their servers in plastic.I am not posting to knock on republicans, but this is just plain wrong.

I read an interesting article about blacks in America, and it basically talked about how blacks here are better off than anywhere else in the world.
The article actually talked about how slavery here "helped" them. I don't buy that, but if you look at all the nations slaves were taken from, they are crap holes today.
If you look at all the other areas around the world that slaves were taken to, they are also crap holes.
Yea, blacks in America are better off than anywhere else in the world.......Imagine that.

I felt the President was pretty disrespectful to MLK day by having is inauguration party that day. It stole the news from MLK and also made a bunch of government workers have to work that day instead of enjoying the government holiday.
I don't believe in holding an inauguration ceremony for a second term anyway...no matter who the President is. It's a slap in the face to belt-tightening taxpayers who support our government's extravagant ways.
