    Payback to two "friends" coming.

I loaned my boat to two people that I will not name here. Most of y'all know who they are.

Boat is returned with a full gas tank and a new live well pump. Those are the positives.

I was cleaning the interior picking up empty water bottles and soda cans and assorted trash. Strike one on them.

I checked the live-wells and that's when I got the surprise. One well contained very dead, stinky shiners and minnows. Strike two.

No way to get them out except by hand. I've got them in a bucket and will sneak them under the car seat of one of the people when he comes up to my place tomorrow.

I've got a camera, winter coat, and bath towel here that the other fellow left in fellow one's truck.

How badly will a rotting shiner damage a camera lens if I place it in the camera bag. Or should I just stuff a few in his coat sleeves and keep the coat out in my boat barn until he picks it up sometime this week?

I'm not really mad. I just have to have a little fun with these gents.

One of them already knows about the bait left in the boat. The other is not a member of the board nor is he on Facebook. He's the one that I'm going to surprise with rotten bait under his car seat.

Now is not the "Tyme" for payback. The shiners and some chicken livers left out in the sun for a couple of July days then put under the seat of the vehicle with the windows rolled up is the right "Tyme". They will have forgotten all about it and not expecting a thing

You may be correct. Something about best being served cold?

    Be the better man Tyme!

Invite them over for a bowl of soup to discuss it.

You'll be serving your famous fish tomato soup. You will have eaten already before they got there.

    The recipe:
1 Can Campbells Tomato soup. Mix and heat as directed.
    2. The shiners and chicken livers go in the blender with about 1/8 cup water and some tobasco sauce, about 4 ounces should do it. Blend for 30 seconds.
    3. Add the blender contents to the soup, and float oyster crackers on each bowl when you serve their portions.

Then sit there and listen to them complain about how highly seasoned and hot the soup is. Try not to wet your pants.

Let me tell ya about the guy that left the nightcrawlers in my boat, and the hog dogs with chili sauce he enjoyed on my back deck. :-)

HurricaneBob, can I substitute the generic store brand tomato soup? Social Security check doesn't go far these days.

Good idea....as a matter of fact....when they complain about the soup, apologize it wasn't Campbells! Let them win....your way.

HURRICANEBOB, remind me trip never to book a fishing trip with you where you're the chef.

I'm not even going to ask how you form hamburger patties or get the hole in the glazed dough-nuts.

Talk about full circle. Doug is the guy that taught me that recipe. Youd be rewarding him.
