No major player is going to be burnt by this. Even though it's likely these actions were at least endorsed, if not initiated by someone at the upper levels.

The political art of "plausible deniability" has come a long way since Richard Nixon. Good staff members nowadays don't leave a trail behind. No emails, no memos, nothing in writing to connect the higher-ups to the dirty work. They know what needs to be done, and they do it.

    history

Every 8 years america gets fed up with the party that has the POTUS, things look good the first 4 years, and then go down hill from there. Thats whats wrong with a two party system, theres no in between, and thats the way they want it. I would love to see a viable third party, but the dems and reps will not let it happen. Our nxt president will probably be our jr sen from ky, I like some of his views. But are the two partys in congress going to like shifting toward libertarian views doubt it. Were going to have a 'snow white" president next, but even though I wont be here to see it, its going to be the last one.

his trrm will end according to law, not by impeacment, that disn't work with clinton, and I doubt that nixon would have been removed from office if he decided to fight it.

No, this isn't the beginning of the end. If anything, the fact that they actually found a violation of the law by a reporter helps to justify them accessing the AP's phone records in the first place. No laws were broken; they had warrants for everything. The AP can whine about it stifling the free press, and indeed may have a point, but the First Amendment does not give them the right to leak classified information damaging to our national security. I just hope they're able to identify who it is within the government who leaked the information, and bring them up on treason charges, and if they do, I say the whole thing was worth it.

I wish this was the end. Clinton did not even scratch the surface of what Nobama has done. Not even in the same ballpark.

How would you put these in priority order?

Of integrity and credibility, how would you rank them from the one you would trust your life to vs the one you would not?:

    -A politician
    -A lawyer
    -A news reporter
-A small lot used car dealer
-A law enforcement officer (city, state or federal)
    -A fire fighter
    -A doctor

In order of merit, which of these people is really most likely to save your live, save you from harm, and make things better, if even for just a short time.?

Just copy and paste the list and then put a number before the dash, 1 is the highest respect, and bigger number push position down the list.

PS: I left combat vets off the list because that's a no-brainer. Already qualify because already been there and done that for us as Americans.

    Great Post.

A little reasoning..........Doctor, firefighter at the top because they are the ones that may directly be able to save my life based on my everyday actions.

Law Enforcement because they try to keep the peace, and LAWS are necessary in society.

New Reporter.......they try. Some are better than others, and they rate higher.

Used car dealer. Necessary evil..but they are at least trying to make an honest buck. At least most of them.

    Politician.........pretty much useless.

Lawyers......well they are SCUM of the earth, especially ambulance chasers. Prosecutors on the other hand, they are up there next to law enforcement in my book. Low wages, and they do it because the LOVE IT.

I can't answer this. I have personally known both doctors and cops from both ends of the spectrum, ones that would do anything and take any risk to help you, and ones that might not piss on you to put you out if you were on fire in the street.

No, I didn't know that, but that doesn't change my opinion. If that's where it leads, so be it.
