Ignorant people make me SICK......

These days, you'd probably have to lump me in the ignorant crowd when it comes to the details on political issues.

I can't get too interested or too informed in what is going on with our government or I just get upset, depressed and sickened. So, while I know the very topline, headlines of Benghazi and the IRS thing, I just don't get into the details to save myself the aggravation.

The whole stinking mess that is our government seems to be fueled by extreme partisanship and a desire to make the other side look bad as well as a self-serving interest in getting reelected rather than any genuine interest in making our country better.

I'd rather be ignorant of a lot of it at this point rather than learn all the terrible details and get upset.

And that's kind of sad. It's difficult to have any kind of pride in the USA when those in leadership are dirty, evil and pathetic.

If you know what happened in Benghazi, if you know the IRS is being investigated for targeting conservative and christian groups, If you know about the AP raid, then you are significantly less ignorant than the folks I'm talking about and those in the video.

If I asked you about any of the three issues above and you replied you didn't know a THING about any of them, then I'd say you're ignorant of what is happening........I suspect you are not.......

Not all liberals are ignorant, but by far I know more Ignorant Liberals than Ignorant Conservatives.....coincidence, I sure don't think so.

AND before my liberal friends here jump all over me. This is not about right or wrong or left or right. It is about informed versus uninformed.

This obviously IS about left vs. right to you, because there is NOTHING in that video to give any indication as to the political leanings of the people being questioned... not one single thing. Yet you say it's clear to you that they're liberals. The ONLY thing you could POSSIBLY be basing that on is the fact that they have no clue about current events.

Glad to see some things never change. Geo, do you in your heart of hearts really think there is $.30 worth of difference in either of the polictical parties? Do you really think anyone in either party stops and thinks of you or your station in life before they think of their own? You you really think that there is a congressman alive today that could tell you what a loaf of bread costs or a gallon of milk? Do you think that there is a senator that knows what an average Joe in this country really thinks about the middle east or somalia or north korea? They do know the best time to reach you on the phone when they want money or your vote. There I feel better George ! Catching any smallmouth? You are right, my entire basis of it being CLEAR is that they didn't know current events. Most "educated" young folks who don't know current events, at least in my opinion AND the folks I've had contact with are BLEEDING heart liberals.

It could obviously be that I've never ran into an ignorant conservative YOUNG person. Maybe that is because conservative YOUNG folks actually try to become educated.

It is obviously subjective based on who I've met.

I still stand by what I posted........until you can post something to convince me otherwise.

Stratos..........I've GOT to think that there is a difference in political parties, and I also MUST have faith that those in charge actually do give a rats ass about me and mine......otherwise, WHAT do we have.

Our country today in in far worse shape that it was 10-15-20 years ago. I believe that. I also work in an industry that is getting POUNDED by the hope and change that we as Americans were promised. And the Americans I know, don't want any of it.

All this administration has done is SUCCESSFULLY divide the country even more. I actually believed that Bush, Clinton, and to some extent Bush 2 did great things to bridge the gap between the diverse groups we have in this country.

Under Obama, we've had scandal after scandal, meltdown after meltdown, bailout after bailout. Failure after Failure. There are a whole lot of "handouts" and a whole bunch of vote buying, but not too much to actually HELP America. AND I think all his actions have set race relations in this country back by 20 - 30 years. There is more race baiting performed in this administration than an ANY administration in my lifetime. They play the black card way too much.......MLK would be rolling over in his grave.

Oh well.

With regards to smallies.........I took my boat out 2 times this year so far. On the 3rd time out, I had a major meltdown, which is costing some jack. Since I was getting close to my Canada trip, I put the boat up for a while, and have been planning for my 10 day Quetico trip......Leave today actually.

Personally I'm not wasting time trying to convince those that can't see their hand before their face. I've always been amused by those so insecure they have to fit every human being in to a neat tiddy little category they can then be comfortable with. Have you considered counciling? You might, cause counselors deserve a good laugh too.
