Fished Doe Run today...

Have you caught any crappie of any size? I fished there years ago and only caught small crappie.

Fished Sunday and caught about 80 the Wife and I brought home our limit 60 Most we kept were 7 inchs one was 12 some 9 and one 10 We scale them gut them clean them then pan fry with skin on so we decided to try the small ones and to my suprise the small ones taste as good as the bigger ones just have to eat more of them LOL

How were you catching the crappie? Over the years I've tried many things at Doe Run all from the bank and have never had luck catching anything.

Best with live minnows, Crappie Jigs also produce. These Crappie are small, a decent one out of every ten or so but way over populated and stunned in this lake. Fish from my Bass boat, Trolling Motor only.
