    what's the most visible fishing line at night

    just wanted everybody's opinion on what brand line is the most visible at night under a black light. i usually just use trilene fluorescent line but was wondering if there was any other type that is a little more visible. thanks

    Stren Gold ... if you want your line to look like a yellow ski rope !! LOL !!!

    Seriously, though ... I think it's more of what size clear/blu fluorescent line you're using, rather than brand, that determines visibility. The power/size/strength of the black light used, could also be a factor.

    I use flourescent clear/blue Trilene mono, it looks like an anchor rope to me under the blacklight. Maybe your light isn't strong enough????

    To me, Stren Original glows brighter than the Trilene that I've tried. Line diameter is definitely the biggest factor after brand, though.

    Stren also makes a clear blue florescent in fluorocarbon. It's harder to find but well worth it for the sensitivity. I use it all the time cause It's easier to see in the day light as well.

    I have this spooled now on my jig rod. Doesn't handle that great but gets the job done. Stren also has a braid that is black light friendly!
