14 Mile Creek

I was scanning Google maps and was wondering if anyone has fished up in 14 Mile creek on the Ohio River. It's the creek up by the old Rose Island property.

I don't a whole lot about it, BUT I do know that several tournaments on the Ohio River have been won out of 14 mile Creek. The KBFN out of Carrollton for one.

It can be very good at times.

it can be very good in the summer. a 12lbs sack was won out of there for our tournament.

Its looks really awsome. I fished it last year In the very middle of summer. I didnt get lucky but it was like 90 deg. I has so many over hanging trees. lots and lots of good cover. it was actually the first time i have ever fished the river I will be out there when the lakes get to hot agian.

my buddy just bought the restruant right accross from their. please stop by and see the new place. it used to be called heathers and harveys on the river. the last two years its was cutters wharff. this year it will be called SIEGS please come down and try them out. they OPEN MAY 5th

What is the depth like in there? Is it big enough to use my 21' center console?

Plenty of room for multiple big boats in that creek.......remember it's trolling motor only though

That creek is terrible for bass fishing. I wouldn't go in there if I was you. hehehehe

Hahha. Sounds like I might have finally stumbled on to a local place to fish. Btw, I have a roomy center console for anyone who can show me how to fish various places on the river. 14 mile creek, below the dam, etc etc

i grew up fishing the river there and i was one of the first boats to fish 14 mile creek when the cable was taken down nice place to fish then, dont know about now
but if you go that far up river dont ever pass up the monster log jam at the head of 18 mile island!!!! even futher up is lil kentucky river which always holds fish
down river never pass up oil creek. won alot of money from there just remember the river is a beast of its own its not like any lake u ever fished
any place on the river bank that will block or hide a fish from current FISH IT !! stump,dock,lay down or anything friend of mine says harrods creek and the marina behind captians quarters is holding fish right now because of the condition of the river

Only wade fishing around the Boy Scout camp. You have to get a permit to fish around it
