We fly the flag at half mast for anything anymore. It pretty much means nothing to me. We honor and award losers like Obama, Whitney Houston and other non upstanding folks. Kinda like the Dumbell Peace Prize....it's a joke cheapened by folks who feel the need to gain popularity points.....this goes for both parties I'm not picking on the libs....well maybe a little because I mentioned Obama and Whitney.

Yes Mendela was a Communists. His ex-wifes favorite way to torture and kill was the burning tire trick. He did learn in his 20 some years in prison that maybe violence wasn't the way to go. That's why no one says anything about his communism. They seem to just remember the good communist and not the tire burning one.

I never kept up with this guys history, and know very little about him. it's a sad thing for anyone to be cruel to others. they say he did a lot of good for people in the last 25 years or so of his life, a man don't have to be what he was, he can change for the good. most of the people in his country liked him, and he was the most Googled person on earth in 2013. he has gone on now, to answer for the things he did in his life. I would think if he could come back to life, and have his life to live over again, he would live it different. I haven't died yet, and as I look back on my life, I wish I would have done a lot of things different. but whats done is done, we can't change that but we can change ourself. we don't have to be what we were.

True but we don't have to be blinded by commercialized worship for someone who was the way he was. He and his memory should be held responsible for all his actions not just the ones people want to feel good about. Hollywood is jumping at the chance to honor this guy and it bothers me, correction it doesn't surprise me. Someone explain to me what he has done for America again??
I could give two squats about this guy. He isn't a hero to me, he isn't anything I aspire to be and he will be forgotten in due time by me. I place more value on the men and women of this country who serve in our military than a man like this from another country.....but hey I'm warped and hardly ever tow the line of the liberals in this country or the media ( usually the same).
