Is this the coldest winter ??

I've been here 24 years....and I gotta tell ya............this is the coldest it has been, I think.

From this graph it looks like December and January have the averages beat all to hell.

    It's not that cold

I've seen colder weather in West Lafayette, IN when I was still in school.

And it's still pretty warm down in the Southern Hemisphere right now as it's summer time down there.

I read where the tennis pros were having a hard time playing in the Australian Open Tennis Tournament as it got up to 110 on some days.

While it's 15 deg above Zero here it's 110 Deg Above Zero down there. It all averages out over time.

They say that the extremes may be worse these days due to more energy in Earth's atmosphere.

I'm ready for spring to get here though. I don't like this cold weather anymore. At least figured out why my truck would not start for the last two years in a row when it got cold. I had a faulty part that was brand new and cost $200 that was bad. I finally got another $200 new part and it works. Now my truck is dependable more or less. The last two winter when it got below 40 deg and I had to go somewhere like the Dr office I never knew if I was going to get the truck started afterwards or have to call a cab and tow truck or walk home. Now the truck starts right up.

I was not getting any spark in the plugs when it got cold and the IC unit that controlled the ingnition system would not work in the cold. It only took me two years to get that figured out and fixed. I simply didn't think a brand new computer chip would be a dud and didn't want to shell out another $200 bucks for a new part and another $100 for a mechanic to install it again. But that's what I ended up doing and I'm finally glad that I did that. It ***** having an old truck that won't run when you need it. So at least now I can handle the cold weather a bit better with a truck that will start when I tell it to.
