Randy Howell

After watching the Bassmaster Classic last evening on ESPN I came away more than impressed with this guy. Not just from a being a great fisherman but an even better human being. What an absolute home run to have this guy representing our beloved sport on national television. Humble in every way the work he does for the kids group he supports in Alabama. His family, kids the way he took time to sit on the deck and talk with Zona and Tommy I can go on and on.

Totally impressed with this man through and though. Also on the fishing that was a Bass spanking on those two rocks walls and points that I Have not witnessed well.............Ever, that was flippin EPIC!

Man you said it. He sure shined as a human being with all he said and does for his charity. The fishing was off the charts amazing!!!!
Soap box time.....why is it that we get these humble well spoken athletes in fishing (most of them) but other sports we get thugs and punks?? Must be the difference in upbringing and surrounding family and friends.

Anyway, I'm proud to say I'm a bass fisherman and appreciate men like Randy. I loved the fact he just kept bringing his charity into the obligation as much as possible and when he was tearing up I felt myself doing the same.....I'm a softie when it comes to that stuff.

God was given a lot of air time with Randy and that's so refreshing.....so nice to see God and a humble man showing his love for his savior. To be honest it made me see how selfish I am......

I met him 10-12 years ago and he is that way in person. Did not get to talk to him for long but a great guy, glade he won.

Just spot on Don this is exactly what I was trying to say. Good stuff for sure...........Even folks that don't like fishing should watch and see how a real winner is suppose to act and live his life.
