I fished the tail waters last Sunday night and on night crawlers we caught a gar, an eel and two baby cats. No bass though. I know that doesn't answer your question but it was an interesting night. Never seen a gar out of water nor ever seen an eel before.

Are you sure it was an eel and not a hell bender or another type of aquatic salamander iver heard talk of eels in ky but ive never ever seen one

I fished t-ville sat morning 5:30 to 11:00 am, the bite was very good, squarebill crankbaits caught 7 chunky 13 to 16 inch bass, also 1 on a 7 inch powerworm in motor oil, fishing standing timber around 2-6 foot deep, wanted to keep fishing but you know t-ville, a complete zoo after 12:00

I would have like to see that eel. If you have a picture you outta post it. Pretty uncommon to see them if you ask me

Yea I caught one nice bass on a crawfish square bill and then caught a 5lb'er off the jig. Picture should be on my profile.

Nice fish!! I always catch the bigger fish on a jig, but really love throwing crankbaits into standing timber!

Let me guess. You throw a rapala shad rap just like the other 2 million crankbait fisherman on taylorsville I love crankin myself but I find jigs catch bigger fish. I fish a farm pond with lipless crankbaits and will catch 15 10" fish and several weeks ago threw on a jig for the first time in the pond and caught a 4 pounder. A lot of times it's just picky fish deciding what they want. Same pond one week later on the same timber my buddy pulled out a 5 pounder off a crank. Why do they have to be so picky lol

In the river the wierdest ive seen was a mud puppy/hell bender aka big @$$ salamander
