Makes sense the less he knows the better off he is. He can say he doesn't know what is going on and would be telling the truth for once. By getting the news brief on his iPad he can read about the brain draining potus stuff in between his games of Words with friends and golf digest articles.

Naw Don, he uses that iPad to swap selfies with the Swedish PM while Michelle isn't looking. Then he shoots moveon a PM on fishin.com with a few climate change links. An hour on the Huffington Post web site to get his stories straight, swap a couple of tweets with snoop doggy dog, a quick porn surf...and it's on to the golf course.

Alright, let's be objective and unbiased on this one. Lord knows that I can't stand Obama, but think about a DAILY intelligence briefing. It's pretty difficult to make a DAILY anything whether you are the President of a country or President of a business. That's 365 straight daily intelligence briefings. Things don't change that much day to day that one of the Presidents advisers can't sit in on the briefing and relay anything of earth shattering significance that changed since yesterday's breifing.

I, for one, don't have an issue with the attendance on this one. The President of my company doesn't make every staff meeting, but you can be **** sure that the really important issues get relayed up to him wherever he is...whether it's an email, a text, or a phone call. This isn't the 1800's - Information can travel pretty fast.

Pointing to an attendance figure is an attempt to make the President look like an unconcerned ass-bag that is shirking his duties, when the more damning issue is not the attendance....it's the issue of shifting the blame to his head of intelligence for the "surprise" rise and underestimation of ISIS. Attendance in the same room for a meeting has nothing to do with not listening to or reacting to the intel being given to you the other 180 times you actually were in the briefing, or even getting it second hand.

My Grandfather always said that there is no sense being hit by a bus if somebody warns you 5 minutes before it's coming.

The reality is that ISIS or Khorasan or whatever 100 other terrorists groups are supposedly in the picture now is nothing more than Al Qaeda as a different name. Since our Dipstick in Chief already declared that Al Qaeda was all but destroyed and on the run after HE killed Bin Laden, he can't admit that he was wrong and call this deal what it is. Instead, now we have these "New Threats" that have developed in ISIS...which his advisers have been telling him was coming all along. If you couldn't see the region falling back into Radical Islamic influence, then you were an idiot. He will not take the blame. He'll shift it to "bad intel" and go from there. They are called sacrificial lambs for a reason.

How much respect would a lot of people gain for Obama if he walked up the podium and said, "You know what? I really dicked this up. I made some underestimations and miscalculations and we're having to dig back out of a hole now because of it. It's my fault, America, because I'm the Commander in Chief."

That's what LEADERS do. They take the blame, even if not all of it is on them. They take the responsibility for their company/organization/administration's actions...when it's good...and when it's bad.

Our President doesn't seem to get that.

That's the issue with our "Commander in Chief"....it's not some BS stat about how many daily intelligence briefings that he has attended. I'll bet other Presidents have had similar stats??

    military intelligence?

an oxymoron. First! They only tell what folks WANT to hear. It was intelligence that started the big iran fiasco yeasr back, care of Dulles. Over throw the governme t, put the shah back into power, and ALL our problems will be solved. I wont go into Diem, saddam, or kadafi, Cuba should never have happened, except a few big american companies had interestd there, we supported corruption, and what did we gain? We preach democracy, abroad, and dont follow it at home. About golf, there was an interesting cartoon years ago, before some of you were born, a sputnik in orbit, trailed by a golf ball. Yellow cake and aluminum tubes was intelligence, what was it worth.

Why do you need a link, theres google msn, yahooo, and several more sources where you can gather info. I don't need a link to research something.

OK, I did my own research........I don't see jack **** about any other president skipping them but the Obamunist.

When I search for Bush Skipped Intelligence Briefing, I get to a link that said bush wanted both written and oral briefings, EVERY DAY.

Thanks for pointing out just how much of a ******* Obama really is, and what a REAL president is supposed to do while evaluating security threats. I appreciate you giving me yet more information to Bash Obama with.

    Later,

    Geo
