Lets talk about free cell phones, free insurance, and free college education.. Great but people like my wife and I who save for college since are girls are weeks old so we can put them thru school later in life will now have to pay yet another tax to help out some person who does not think ahead or want to sacrifice.

I should just go buy rims for the boat trailer and be done with it. Somebody else will pay for my kids college.

I believe we are over reaching when we as a government think we should sponsor free college education... The system we have now works.... Even with Keys money, most folks in the middle still pay a CRAP TON in tuition, and cannot afford to send kids to UK or U of L. Try again though. You obviously have not looked into college lately.

With regards to public education......I'm all for it. GET the federal gubment and their crap out of it. We sit near the bottom of education, yet pay the most of ANY country for education. Yep. Here it comes.......I blame your wonderful UNION. Pay teachers based on performance....evaluate them every year, and hold them accountable for their results.

Pay the ones that are good, and fire the ones that are not. FIX education in less than a decade......guaranteed.

Oh, and go back to the days when if you bad mouthed a teacher, you got your butt paddled by the teacher, the principal, and when you got home, your DAD came within inches of murdering you. Those DAYS, you didn't have kids body slamming a teacher because he took your cell phone. But hey, that is a whole different story for another day.

Everyone just relax. The President has already walked back on the idea of taxing of 529 plans. However, I'm sure he'll come up with something else to tax so everyone can get "free" 2 years of community college.

Wow, you really are all in.... So create more taxes on whatever they want and you're ok with it? Penalizing people who are trying to do the right thing is ok?? What about cash for clunkers. That was great. Well I am still driving the same ol truck I did 12 years ago. Tax is not the answer.

Whether it is paid by the employer or the government via taxes that is what seems to be the cost of providing for families.. whining does not change that and supporting hunger does not make our country better....[/COLOR]
