Thanks for the forecast. It's good to know these things well in advance and I never watch the news so this is very helpful.

Uh oh look out this could be a real doozie. We have plenty of moisture heading this was Saturday night through Monday morning and with the temps looking very iffy this could be the one we have been dodging.
HPC has us getting around .75 to as much as 1.25 inches of precip, if that all falls as snow.................OUCH.
Temperatures are crucial in this set up and also the track of this system does as well. If it goes more south we get mainly snow but if it goes more north we will get the bulk in just rain because that will allow us to stay warmer.
Keep an eye on this fellas I have to tell you this one concerns me.....

Now Mr. Maloney don't place to much stock in my forecasts.....LOL
OH by the way one thing is certainly going to happen regardless of precip types. After the event it is going to get cold, real cold and could last 7 to 10 days with lows in areas away from the city in the single digits again.

Looking more likely all the time.....could be a show stopper
Tyme if we get what I think we'll get Sat night into Monday morning and more possible snow Wed into Thurs mid next week. Friday night the 6th into Sat morning may be sub zero temps at your house, not wind chill actual air temp. Get ready a wild ride ahead coming.....
I've got wood stacked in the garage from the wood pile outside and then stacked in the house in the wood rack by the stove.

I love watching sports at home. Big screen, HD, bathroom 15 ft away and food stored in the fridge. I control the weather here in this house!!!!
Btw....I'm going Seattle by 10..![]()

I hope it's rain because the streams are running thin right now. Snow plus low water plus single digits = frozen water and I will need to nab a February fish to keep the streak going.

Well the northern and southern branch's of this dude are not phasing as expected. That coupled with a more north shift in frontal passage will mean a heavy snow shifting it's sights to central Indiana and farther north. Mostly rain for Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Very cold temps are still on the table and brutal to those that get a good snow fall base. Glad this one is changing and moving this way had it not I feel 10 inch snowfall could have easily been reached in spots. Still could move a bit farther south and make things interesting but models and weather balloon information are starting to get a decent handle on this one now and temperature profiles will be a bit warmer during the event time.
My gut on this one was wrong....and I'm glad![]()
