In my opinion this whole discussion should not be happening because same sex marriage should not be legal to begin with.

You are right by your way of thinking every President has failed to enforce some laws much worse than this clerk in Kentucky but because her refusal is religious we need to destroy her
And for the record I disagree with your supposition. It's about as silly as trying to put Cheney in jail for starting the war in Iraq or putting Bush in jail for allowing all the illegals to enter this country during his 8 years on the job. According to YOUR Thinking we should have arrested ever President for not enforcing the laws of the land. That's about a silly as anything I've ever heard in my life.
NO I said maybe YOU should go find another country to live it silly boy.

Lets look at that for a minute. Were Adam and Eve married?I don't know. But they did have children. At Canna, Jesus turned water into wine at a marriage, its considered a sacrement, but at some communions I have attended, they used grape juice. Why? Some folks say that marriage is for begetting children, yet there are a whole lot of" begotten children" being born. are the perpertrators stoned under the old laws? Or are they fauned at for being unwed moters, and given taxpayer relief for commiting a sin.I have seen several cases where a couple or their family take on large debt for a ceremony that ends a few years later. That sacrement is now a cash cow for lawyers, caterers, dress makersand all sort of commercial ideas. Swearing before God to uphold the laws of marriage or office, has even been changed. Not by God, but us.
Well this morning while I was browsing the internet reading the various news stories I came across one that said that KIM DAVIS is again refusing to issue marriage license to a same sex couple. While same sex couples makes me GAG I still believe in the force of Law. For without laws we would have anarchy. So I do think that when a Judge Orders us to do something that we better do what they say or end up in jail. I fear that's where Kim is heading again. This time she might be getting a huge fine too.
She is not too smart. IMHO. To defy a judge and piss him off after already spending time in jail is not the smartest thing to do.
She should resign from her $80,000/yr. job and then she can go practice her religion as much as she wants. But as long as she is a County Official she will either do her job or go to jail. IMHO she should just resign her job and let someone else issue the marriage licenses. She is not going to stop these people from getting married no more than Wallace was going to stop those black kids from going to college down in Alabama in the 1960's. There the President called out the 101st Airborne to restore order and put the Alabama Governor back in his place. This was before he was shot and paralyzed for the rest of his life.
If you don't mind were did you read this. Thanks
It probably was on either CNN or MSNBC web sites. Or it could have been on one of my local favorite news sites.
I've not seen any thing else on this issue since the other day which makes me wonder what happened too.
I'm sure if she were back in jail or if anything had happened to her the news outlets would be all over that. So now I'm not sure what's going on.
I'll do a google search for Kim Davis and see what pops up.
Edit: After doing a Google Search I found this:
http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/14/politi...iage-kentucky/
They found a way to issue the licenses and please the judge (law) and still keep Kim's name off the marriage license. So maybe there is a silver lining to this story after all.
Without her name on the license, being the CLERK of the county, they are not valid. It will lead to yet another supreme court battle.......As it should.

Our local paper has an online edition and I found this there just a few minutes ago. I've not even read the article yet. I found the headlines and copied the URL and came here to post it and let everyone read it.

And George you are right that without her name on the document it may be considered invalid. The games they play!![]()
I think the judge made his "intent"clear, that licenses be issued and that their be no interference with that being carried out.
So I look at the definition of license:
li·cense
noun
1.
a permit from an authority to own or use something, do a particular thing, or carry on a trade (especially in alcoholic beverages).
"a gun license"
verb
1.
grant a license to (someone or something) to permit the use of something or to allow an activity to take place.
"brokers must be licensed to sell health-related insurance"
So in effect, if the licenses issued are considered invalid, it seems to me she has "interfered" with authorizing an activity the judge and court showed their intent be carried out.
I think for it to play out, the legality of one licence granted would have to be determined, and then the prosecutor would need to connect the dots.
I really hope the licenses are valid, and she can stay detached, and this is the end of it. Not a supporter of same sex marriage. I am a strong supporter of the freedoms this country grants thru it's political and judicial processes.
I think that her lawyers are giving this woman some bad advise. I also think that if she is actually acting upon advice given to her by her lawyers (changing the license forms and taking off her name and county etc) that the Lawyer should be made to pay any fines that the Federal Judge give to her. And I do think that monetary fines are going to come soon along with more jail time.I think the judge made his "intent"clear, that licenses be issued and that their be no interference with that being carried out.

I personally don't believe in same sex relationships let along same sex marriage. I would not want that for myself. But what other's do is their business as long as they don't do it in front of me or to me. I don't appreciate gays parading up and down the streets and being proud of what they are doing. To me that's DISGUSTING as hell.
But I do want to follow the laws. If I don't agree with the way that the laws are being made then all I can really do it try to vote for someone else to make the laws different. That's how a democracy works.
But this lady is breaking the law and she is defying a Federal Judge who has great power. She is playing with "Fire" here. She is NOT above the law and she has not business trying to make the law. When she changed the forms she broke her promise to the Judge and If I were him I'd have her thrown back in jail for a few months and then she if she's ready to change her ATTITUDE. She may not believe in same sex marriage but IF she wants to keep her Job she better start obeying the Judge's Orders.
NOTE: I've always though that the judges have too much power when it comes to finding people in contempt of their court. But I'll never openly challenge any judge that orders me to do some thing while in his court nor will I defy any of the Judge's orders. That's just going to get your ass thrown in jail and open to some big time trouble.
This woman is being advised by the wrong folks IMHO.
Now I can see why the Founding Fathers decided it was best to keep the Church and the State Separate from each other. They don't always mix well together.
Kim Davis is about to learn a lesson the hard way. I say the sooner she is back in Jail or resigns from her job as clerk the better.
BTW: I too was thinking about the Whiskey Rebellion when this story about Kim Davis first surfaced. I must think like Lukas.
