Wolf creek dam Lake Cumberland tailgaters? Anyone been?!

Hey yall I've always looked at fishin.com but never posted anything so I'm new to the posting forums thing. I had a question about wolf creek dam and fishing the tailgaters and thought yall would be the best people to ask! So here it is. I'm taking a buddy down to the tail waters this Friday morning and was wondering if anyone has done any good and what the fish may be biting on? I was thinking of targeting trout, stripers, walleye, and maybe even sauger. Has anyone been recently? If so what are ya catchin and what are ya catchin em on? My buddy has never been and if love for him to be able to hook into some fish! I know they're calling for storms Wednesday evening but hoping water won't be to crazy Friday morning! Any suggestions at all will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Are you fishing from a boat or the bank? I caught 3 small striper up on the wall at the dam Friday night casting a gold spoon. Must use braid (30 lb or better) if you don't want to lose to many spoons. Lost a good walleye from the bank behind the snack bar on Rattlin Rouge. We are catching trout on Orange Powerbait on light line behind the bathrooms

I appreciate that! What was the water looking like when you went? Where the genarotors running? I'm thinking about just getting some shiners and laying them out on bottom for stripers and taking a heavier jig head and curly tail and bouncing off the bottom for walleye and using the dough bait for the trout and no from the bank

    wolf creek dam

I tried fishing tailgaters once. They complained about me getting nightcrawlers in their jambalaya. Sorry, I couldn't resist. You can search Wolf Creek Dam levels. The TVA website will give you levels and generation schedule. Good Luck.

go with lighter weight spoons and jig heads since they are not generating as much water and I would use white or chartruse curl tails. Check the gen. sceduales because they are cutting it off at noon
