Self-defense? or Murder?

He shot people trying to KILL him..........
It was self defense, but he's a IDIOT with small dick syndrome. Should have never been on the effing street with an AR....period, IMHO.
Now, if I'm walking down the street , minding my own business, and someone tries to kill me or I FEEL he's trying to kill me, well I'm gonna draw down.. That is a much different situation , IMHO.

The 3 shot were all white but I doubt Kyle checked their membership cards or political affiliations before acting. Please get back to us with the results of your research. Tia!

Self Defense definitely. And yes he and all the others should never been out there on the streets after the curfew. But the Governor and the police should have taken care of business when the rioters arrived and sent them packing back home in the first place.
The Jury is deliberating now and this is the second day. I read today that the defense hired the same jury consultant that OJ used in his trial. All the defense needs is one jurist to have a hung jury.
And there is a second defense motion for a mistrial with prejudice. I heard about that today but don't know all the details. It had something to do with a video that the prosecutors used later in the trial. It was one of the FBI drone videos that they didn't give sufficient noticed to the defense about it before using it.
I was hoping that this would be something that we all would agree on. I'm very right wing when it comes to guns and firmly believe in the 2nd amendment. I've been shooting guns since I was 8 years old when I got my first single shot 22. I barely remember that Marlin Rifle and can't remember what happened to it. I bet my parents got rid of it. I later purchased a Ruger 10/22 semi automatic 22 LR rifle and still have that sweet shooting little rifle. I then purchased a Remington Model 870 Wing master 12 gage Shotgun with a 28" long barrel and modified choke. I killed a lot of squirrels, rabbits, doves, crows, Geese and Ducks with that shotgun. I even hand loaded the shotgun shells for it at times. That was a sweet shooting gun. It didn't have a ribbed barrel and back then I didn't know that I was left eye dominate and didn't close my left eye to shoot. Now I'm right eye dominate. Long story that I will skip. Eye surgery caused the change. So I can shoot a lot better and am not always behind or ahead of the flying targets.
Long time ago when I was a sophmore in HS I went to a friends house to go do some shooting. I was missing badly and could not figure out why. I was also jerking when I pulled the trigger in anticipation of the kick of the shotgun. I was a little kid and didn't fill out until I was a senior. So the kick took it's toll on my right shoulder. One time the shell didn't fire and I jerked the hell out of the shotgun. That was when I finally learned to relax when I pulled the trigger and not jerk anymore. I sold that Shotgun when I got married. I should not have done that.
My next door neighbor had two Remington Model 870s and when he had his second child (boy) he asked me to keep hi guns safe for him. I took posession of three shotguns. Two 870s and one semi automatic Remingtion which was never really used and was in pristine condition. He asked me not to shoot that gun so I agreed. But he told me I could use the the other two 870's. One was a short barrel police gun and the other was like my old 870 but it was a ribbed barrel with a bead on the end. That gun was sweet to shoot. I had not shot a shotgun since I was in college and went to the Fish and Wildlife area to hunt doves one day. I got about 6 or 7 doves that day and took them home, cleaned them and ate them. Man were they good. I only had half a box of no steel shot that day. So I was shooting pretty good for a guy who had not shoot a shotgun in about 30 years. And doves are a fast target and hard to hit. They can fly up to 60 mph and can turn on a dime.
Then I purchased my first AR15. I bought a Daniel Defense AR15 Hunting Rifle in Real Tree Camo. It's a sweet shooting gun. It shoots 5.56 or .223. And it likes the 62 grain bullets as the barrel is 18" long and has a 1:7 twist rate. So it spins the heavier bullets perfectly. Lighter 55 grain bullets spins too fast in this gun and I lose accuracy and precision. Now my neighbor had an AR15 that he lent to me to go coyote hunting for a week before he asked for it back. He wanted me to buy it but it was a high something and cheaper gun. I did some research before buying my AR15 and found that Daniel Defense was the company for me. They make excelent AR15's and do all the work in their own factory.
Later I purchased my first handgun. I went with a 9 mm German semi automatic Walthers PPQ. I liked shooting that gun more than the AR15. And it was easier to clean after a day of shooting.
My next pistol was a Ruger LC9S Pro 9 mm single stack which is easy to conceal and carry. But it only carries about 7 or 8 rounds. Soooo.......
I needed an upgrade to my carry gun. The LC9S Pro was too small and the PPQ 9 mm was too big.
I went with the PPQ Sub Compact 9 mm which is just right. It's double stack magazine holds more bullets and can shoot a lot more than the Ruger LC9S Pro. It's smaller than the regular 4" long barrel PPQ 9 mm. It's now my carry gun. I don't leave home without it. Wallet, Keys, Smartphone, and PPQ SC. And mine is the police model so it comes with a larger magazine and night sights already on the gun which is nice.
I quit fishing when I got my first PPQ pistol. I parked the boat in the garage and stored several boxes filled with shooting supplies in front of the boat. I now pull the boxes out, load up the pickup truck bed with them and other shooting supplies and head out to the rifle range to practice shooting. Now since Covid I've not gone to the shooting range as much. So If this pandemic ever is over and it's safer to get out and mingle I'll be found at the shooting range. There is a shooting range right near my parents house and it's membership only. My neighbor at my parents house was a member of this club and I use to visit the club with him a few times so I'm familiar with the club layout. But he died and is long gone now. The club is still there will a lot of new members. The other gun range is a 30 minute drive up to Sugar Ridge F&W Area shooting range. They fenced that range off and I've not been there since they did that. They made it a lot harder to get your stuff to the shooting bench these days. So I won't be going there anymore.

I believe a mistrial will be granted..........
The IDIOT prosecutors gave the defense a compressed version of the FBI video. Instead of 1280p the were given 480p. This is not exactly the correct numbers, as I cannot find the article about the compressed video, but It was compressed by 4x or something like that.
Edited:
I found the article......here is a quote from it:
"
Rittenhouse’s defense attorneys, Mark Richards and Corey Chirafisi, said prosecutors gave them a 3.6-megabyte version of a drone video, while the version they kept for themselves had amounted to 11.2 MB. They said the resolution of the file they received came in at 480 by 212 pixels, compared to 1920 by 844 in the prosecution’s file.
"
CRAZY.
And worse than that, the Prosecution used the uncompressed video in closing arguments.......
It seems the prosecution withheld evidence.

He is one pompous ass. He exaggerates and even lies. He should be seeking the truth not a notch in his prosecutor's belt.Correct.

Sorry folks but there is a much bigger story here...
When I was a kid Kyle Rittenhouse would have been on the front page of every newspaper, evening news and every watercolor discussion heralding his heroism for defending peoples property and being the kind of young man we all want to be like.
instead this is twisted and perverted into something we have allowed to be an everyday thing.
I am sickened and exhausted by whats happening to all the Kyle Rittenhouses across this nation. I want to scream a very foul word at the top of my lungs.
this is far from over.

His life has been changed forever. Now, he will go after ever those that called him a white supremicist, and whatever, and they will be civil suits all over the place.

Two things are true:
1. He was not guilty under WI law.
2. He's no hero.
Riot suppression is for trained LEOs. Rittenhouse didn't impose order, he left a trail of carnage and blood. Two of the people he shot thought he was an active shooter.
When you turn a fool into a hero, others are going to follow his example. Making a hero out of this foolish young man will mean more blood in the streets.
