L. Cumberland to stay at 680

Dave, do you have a link to the story? I checked the Corps page and could not find it.

Good to see that they are not dropping below 680. However, if they keep that level for another 6 years, its going to put a hurting on the trout and striper fishing in the river. Hopefully it will rebound after that. I understand they have to keep a safe level to protect the public. Still a bummer about the fishing.

Was at grider hill last night, and found out that the livery service is available all night long, if the guy spots you coming in. The service is absolutly great, I wasn't a fan, but the service has changed my mind.Talked to the guy last night, and they may put in a couple of flood lights for easing the night launching and recovery. The lake level is good where its at, but yes it will put a strain on summer trout fishing, also the walleyes are not in the places I caught them in the last couple of years, but its till one heck of a big body of water, let the nuts go to dale, they'll be gone by the end of october, then I'll go back.

That sound great and i hope that they will hold the the lake at 680 for the winter. for the past few years in the the winter they have pulled the lake down to that level with no complaints from the fishermen. As they are not really relavent for the lake economy there has not been a complaint in the past and we just take it in stride. We are entering the dry time of the year and when we get to the winter months without water it will be difficult to maintain a stable water level. But it will only effect the fishermen so there will be no impact. Just a thought,I have been wrong before and will be again. The winter wil be intersting???

I also read that the lake will stay at 680 that will be good. Iam curious about the process, not to be negative, Iam just am intrested as how the construction is being done. the only thing we have been told is how long it will take. What is the engineering process as to how it is being done and what are the problems that need to be adressed and how it it being done, a link would help if there is one.I am just curious and if there was a detailed description of the work that was being done for the tech heads the rumors would stop. There is a ton of tax money for this project so there should be somewhere to go to get the details???
