can wait to see one.... where did you get to see it at?

Just had the Brand new Shimano Stradic in hand... just want to let everyone know that it feels absolutely incredible. The slight grinding of the gears of the old white one is no more, this thing is as smooth as you can imagine. It along with all the higher end Shimanos has a waterproof, sealed drag system, a new propulsion line managment system to help casting ability and the same gears and bearings that they added to the new Core to make it feel as it just came out of the box for 3-5 years. It also feels a little lighter, but that just may be the new design distributing the weight differently. Beefed up the price a little, but this reel is NICE.

Anglers Outpost and Marine in Nicholasville. Had the 1000FI and the 2500FI. Also Have the New Saros 2500F and that is a VERY nice reel as well.
Are the new Stradics guarenteed to catch 21"+ smallies at Dale Hollow???? If so, I'll take four of them.......... :-)
Found out Backwaters in Lexington has them.... got to see them today looking foward to see how good they have made them.

the stradic is 159.99, the replacement reel for the price range of the old stradic is called the Saros and it is 'supposed' to be nicer than the old stradic, i would probably have to agree. They bumped that price up to 129.99.
Cool, i'll check it out today. Thanks
OK, i have seen other posts about the twin power, couldn't find it in the shimano catalog. I guess i didn't realize that the reel models for japan and the US arn't exactly the same. I don't know why exactly they would do that? I have heard some others saying that the Jap. models are even better, again why would they do that? People in the US are just as willing to fork over the big bucks, if they are getting the best product.
I had the 1000 model but had to take it back. I was using Power Pro 4 lb braided and the line would not seat in the guide all of the way. When I set the hook, the bail would flip open.
Other than that is was very smooth and I liked the 6.0 speed.
Anyone else have this problem?
