By the time it gets here we'll have you hooked up. There's a couple of places close that I ususally go before we head to Dale to dust the cobwebs off "Green Teeth and Big Molly"(My F-n-F rods)..LOL!!!!
I ususally start at the 1st of November when the water temps fall down into the mid 50's. The creek temps go up and down so fast it gives you a few opportunities to catch some fish on the fly while the bigger lakes acclimate.

That sounds great Billy, consider me ready and waiting. Between now and then like i said i will be getting some equipment. I'm sure one of the reels that i already have that wouldn't use in the winter would be fine.. a 2500 shimao... loaded with 6lb mono? and im looking right now at a 9ft B&M f-n-f rod with the TN handle... or maybe the 8ft with the balnace system in the back... possibly a BPS rod? any suggestions on the rods would be appreciated.
B and M is junk......
well i appreciate the warning on that then... what do you suggest, what does anyone suggest as far as the rod goes?
If you'll do a search on F-n-F on this site or www.floatandfly.com you'll have hours of reading.

I have 2 bps micro-lites 9ft and like them, but i haven't used any others. By the way they're cheap 30-40 bucks.
I have never done any float and fly fishing, but it sounds like something I would love. Can you use a fly rod with spinning gear on it? I have two really good fly rods (both 9', 6weight) that I have not used since I moved to Western Ky. over a year ago. I hate to buy new gear, when I could get by, and get some use out of what I have.
