Woody...you and I are going to have a good time next week....catch'n smallies and sharing fight stories. Glad you feel good enough to crack somebody who had it coming. Even more glad that you are not hurt.

I assume that is your bobber jiggling hand...right. You're probably already taking something for that swelling anyway.

My bobber jiggling hand has been iced up all night and she will be more than ready to go next week. I figure Pneumonia, open wound on my stomache and whatever else hurts me did not stop me the past couple of weeks so a little right hand injury won't stop me either. Looking forward to it. If this old Geezer had stabbed me in the stomache and the Titanium mesh that I am lined with from hip to hip stopped the blade cold he would have had a real nice look in his eyes thinking I was a man of steel or something. I don't figure some "Old Timer" pocket knife stands a chance against my surgically re-enforced super hero Titanium that I am packing around.

If that old dirty pig sticker had found it's way under your skin, your put through ringer body could have been in a world of hurt. You did the right thing big guy!

Looking forward to Ky and Barkley in April and May even more for I know there are Green Carp swimming in these waters for I have seen them and caught them. Only heard of Green Carp that are caught out of Guist and I am beginning to think the fellas that tell these STORIES are LIARS.
Looking forward to that May trip....hopefully by then the water and weather will settle down a little more toward normal...lol. You don't have to worry about me pulling out any sissy knife either...not my style...lol. I guess I am a liar because when I lived in Frankfort I caught plenty of big fish out of that pond in Shelbyville...but then again that was a long time ago...lol.

Looking for a guide trip on Guist Dave, you up for it?????? I have first account of the Green Carp that are caught in your boat and if there was anyone that can catch them at Guist, it would be you. Maybe I have not given Guist a fair shot for the 5 times total that I fished the lake were 3 days in July during the heat of the day, 1 day in spring of 2004 again in Chocolate Milk water where I snagged one 3 1/2 pounder on an Orange Spinnerbait with orange blades and yesterday. Not really ideal fishing conditions on any of the 5 days on this water. One of the guys that worked for me in Shelbyville said his Brother In Law works for the fisheries department and they shocked up a new state record Green in Guist back in 2005. Since I did and could not see the fish that hit my crankbait yesterday, my guess is it had to be the new state record, or at least that is my story and I am sticking to it.

Elwood, what if that poor old man was just gonna clean his finger nails with that knife and talk some fishing with you. Just cause you had a bad day on Guist is no reason to whoop a old man wanting a fishing report

Awesome!!!! The best fishin.com story in a while. I would hate to tangle with Elnut when he gets all of his strength back. Glad you are feeling better.

Elnut, I just had some time to read the whole story. I've been laughing so hard my co-workers are asking me, "what's so funny over there?" You have a way with words, big man! That's funny as all get out!

I've been to that Flying J a thousand times and have never seen anything close to that!

I agree with you about Guist Creek. I have fished that lake under several different types of conditions and never have done very well. It's not worth it, IMO!

Hmm, a 180 pound Leatherneck versus a 350 pound buttwhooper. Sounds like a fair fight to me!
