Haven't had a thread whacked in a while, so I'm gonna talk about fishing on the only board I post on anymore and see what happens.

Been fishing Dale the last 2 weekends and have caught some toads along with frostbitten fingers and mild cases of hypothermia. Caught my first FnF smallie Saturday, it was pretty fun, so was the next one...

Smallmouth fishing is a terrible addiction, cold be damned I'd be out there right now if I didn't need to work and stay married. Would post some pics, but I haven't taken any.

Santa brought me a roll-away toolbox and I believe the ole boy's gonna get lucky this Christmas too.

I could see how catching them brownies could be addicting....I love wade fishing for them in the creeks around home....

I got me one of them roll around tool box's as well, but I can't seem to get all my tools in it, need another one also....... It's amazing how many tools a feller can accumulate once he buys his first car and works on it by himself.... But in today's world...working on your own vehicle takes a Masters Degree and a note from your Mother and Grand Pappy as well......

Jimbo now you know why I'm so eat up with catching them ole brown fish. Largemouth are alright I guess, but they are pale in comparison to smallmouth. Congrats on the tool box.

I've got it too. My biggest problem is I don't own a boat and I can't seem to find enough partners willing to let me tag along to get my fix.

I went the first 3 cold weekends but then haven't been able to find a partner the last 2 and it's killing me.

The Micropterus dolomieui version of the black bass may not be God's most beautiful creation, but it's right up there toward the top. How about when you see that line headed for the surface after you set the hook? What a feeling. Or when she's bulldogging and the drag is crying for mercy. Is my knot good? Do I have a weak spot in my line? Good grief what a mean beotch is she gonna stay buttoned up? God o mighty folks I gotta find somebody to duct tape me down or I'm outta here.

Send me a PM with your contact info and I'll keep you in mind. Usually have people foolish enough to go out there and freeze with me, but every now and then there's an empty seat. I fish mostly live bait (shad/shiners) and some artificial (jigs/FnF) during fall/winter at the holler.

Hey Jim they even try to take you on when they get in the boat, they just plain have attitude. I love the big runs right at the boat to when they put you down on your knees praying '' Please Lord stay on, Please stay on '' Doggone it Jim you have now worked me up into a lather.
