    New coach for UK

Alright just for S&Giggles here is my list for Kentucky as new basketball coach. That probably would take the job or available.

    1. Pat Riley
    2. Dan Issell
    3. Darrin Horn
    4. Travis Ford
    5. Bruce Pearl

I have others but these five I think would take the job, especially Riley which said he's been looking for a reason to come home, man was that a hint or what. Can you imagine the talent that guy could recruit at the collegiate level.

I think Mike Davis or Kelvin Sampson is looking for a Job.......

BUT my all time favorite for UK............would be the GENERAL.......talk about causing some SERIOUS HATE

You think Pitino going to U of L caused some friction........I could see it NOW.......

    Later,

    Geo.

Travis Ford is who they should have hired in the first place. The guy has won everywhere he has been. Campbellsville College, EKU to the NCAA tournament, UMass beat U of L in freedom Hall and took them to the tourney. In his first season at Oklahoma St. he is 20-9, 9-6 in conference and in fourth place. Plus, he is doing a good job of recruiting.

Interesting thought, I don't know if he would take it though, he's being compensated pretty well right now without the unreal expectations or pressure that comes with the job in Lexington.

    Re: New coach for UK

Why would anyone want to come to Lexington? Unless Transy is looking for a coach UK is not the glory team it once was and the hard fact is... the dynasty is over. They will be competative again someday, but the dynast is done. UK fans are having a hard time with the realization that they don't have the top coaches in the nation begging for a chance to coach the wildcats.

Why would someone come to UK where the fans and alum have you in the hot seat if you lose one or two games, heaven forbid you have a bad season or two. The expectations for UK are just plain ridiculous. Especially Ford or Pelphrey. They were dearly loved and remembered players, they probably want to keep it that way and not want to ruin their reputation if they lose a game or three. Pelphrey is a great coach. I watched him on several occasions while I was at WKU as a student and he could flat out coach.

Why would Horn want to come to UK? He's doing just fine at SC, why go from a top SEC team to a low SEC team?

I'm not UK fan, but I would probably be a fan again if Bobby Knight came. I think he's waiting for a school to coach. I remember the rumor mill was flying in Bowling Green when Knight made a comment on ESPN that he would like to coach a WKU type team.

I think any coach deserves 4 years. As a topper fan I was calling for Horn's head a time or two, but it was well worth the wait for the sweet sixteen last year.
