I'm with you on this one. How can you reason with extremists? I don't think it's possible so kill them and let Allah sort them out.

But if you kill them before they have a chance to kill you, who is the extremist?

I think what we're trying to do is differentiate that there is a difference between a muslim who would kill us and one that wouldn't and try to ensure that we have good relationships with those who wouldn't (which are likely the vast majority).

I think we can all agree that it's ALL an oil deal If it weren't for oil, we probably wouldn't have been propping up the Shah all those years ago, which is what got a lot of the current anti-American sentiment started. Well that's silly and dangerous thinking. Extremists who kill or torture others (Women and Children included) that don't believe in their way of life compared to an American who is just living life and then gets victimized by these thugs is your comparison right?

So if I or we protect ourselves we are extremists? Is that what your implying? Man that open minded thinking is fine but if your too open minded your brain will fall out.

I am no fan of Osama, I mean Obama, but if he can make one crazy a** Muslim like the United States, and not want to blow it up, then what he is doing is worth it, of course since he is a recently removed Muslim himself he may be able to speak their language, share stories of the Koran, and discuss how many Virgins they will all share with the almighty Allah, so this actually may do some good. Heres hoping he makes it back alright, and some crazy Muslim doesnt blow him up, because the only person that could possibly be worse than him is Biden.

I hope I can clarify one thing here that has gotten off path in my opinion. I also will take the liberty to speak somewhat for Don to as I think he's saying the same thing I am.
Re read the posts and at no time did I say all muslims should be killed and Don didn't either he said Radical extremist.

The point in my original post and I will stand behind it forever is this. Those of you that think us showing up shaking hands eating veal cooked in curry and taking photo's with dignitaries is going to change anything at all are incredible nieve. This is nothing new guys we've been trying to make these people like us since before we were a twinkle in our Dadies eye and guess what it still hasn't worked and it NEVER will. I appreciate your undieing optimism but at what point do just let that one go.

What we really need to do is all get together somewhere convenient for everybody, maybe rent a place. We'll drink beer,cook some food,play some cornhole and have a good time.

I'll bring a pair of 16 oz gloves and if anybody brings up politics we can square off for two three minute rounds. Then we'll drink some more beer and play some more cornhole.

Alright I understand but I don't think a trial is even justified. I know all muslims are not Extremists but the whole religion has a black eye from all the recent publicity. I still maintain that they should be in an uproar over the perception of their radical sect.
