Actually no I haven't Bassin Bug, I haven't noticed that at all...at least not with the group of Harley owners in my neck of the woods.

Just because people get tattoo's, so what?...to each his own...I admit the fat girl in the pic shown on this thread has about as much self respect as a cock roach, not to mention her total lack of respect for the rest of society...but generally speaking a lot of people who sport tattoo's have some decency to them.

Not shallow at all,it's the plain truth.Before the latest little fad the only people who had tattoo's were convicts,bikers,and the ocassional sailor/military person.
If you want to emmulate someone decent,you don't copy what murderers,rapists,and theives do.Like Dave Stewart said about his niece,you take a beautiful person and make them look like trash by permanently altering your body,and why? Just to "express" yourself or to get attention?
I guess if the fad was to spay or nueter yourself it would eventually work out.

In my mind what is even sicker,are people who do this abnormal body piercing,I mean what is so wonderful about poking holes through your tongue,nipples,eyelids,genitals,lips,or naval.
I had a Souix Indian that worked for me,he had his nipples pierced,one night during a drunken arguement his girlfriend ripped one out.I had to secretly LMAO at that.

Isn't it amazing that, for some (obvious) reason, we don't see lawyers covered in tats, defending Hell's Angels covered in tats, before a judge covered in tats. We don't see famous surgeons covered in tats explaining on CNN how they separated conjoined twins. I've never seen bank tellers or presidents covered in tats. I have seen tat junkies working at menial jobs for minimum wages. If tattoos look so nice why are those people not working in the better paying or best jobs; many of them have great educations? JMO

Anyway...I guess you all are correct. I'm beginning to see the light now, I guess it's time that I dis-own my son inlaw, let me explain.

He and my step-daughter have been married for almost two years now. They both work full time (plus over time when required) and go to school part-time (U of L)...he is majoring in business...she just turned 25 and he is 26, they own their own home, both drive very nice vehicles that are actually worthy of waxing, which is more than I had at the age of 25. She just ran her first mini-marathon this past spring and he works out at the gym faithfully, he also has some fairly strong Christian values, but let's not mis religeon into this tattoo thread. But I guess I need to take what is being said here as the gospel because at sometime or another within the past year he decided to get a tattoo on his shoulder. Not sure how I should tell him that I now see him as a future rapist or murderer, maybe you all can help me out on this?

Gee whiz Bug...how can you be so sure? How many people do you know who work in the prep room at a funeral home? I think you'd be surprised to know what they've seen and who they've seen it on despite how the deceased may have been viewed in the publics opinion. Business attire for both men and women can conceal a lot. According to my wife I'm sometimes quick to judge others so I certainly could learn to live by the old saying of never judging a book by it's cover, no matter what, business suit or tattoo's should not persuade our opinions of a person in any way shape or form, but they sure as heck do.

That's just it,it's the big fad now,but the people doing it are emmulating trash.If you want to be respectable,why do something that is a symbol of trash (excluding former military personel) You can cover for them all you want,but it is senseless and not a pretty sight.
