    The weeks rain total

Gauged a fuzz over 10'', yes you read it correctly 10 inches in one week. John Belski had on his blog that a large area around the metro up around Prospect had these same amounts. Just wondering what some of the rest of you weather buffs came up with. I aught to be able to mow again in a week or so, but they are calling for more rain again as soon as tomorrow night. I've never seen weather like this in mid summer, weird to say the least.

    Global Warming, lol.

Ya know some of these prediction services are saying we are in for a serious winter this year with way below average temps and above average precipitation. Hunker down boys it could be a bad one. I'd take anything right now other than rain it's way past old!

We received over 10 inches here in Greenville also. The rain came down my chimney and was pooling in my Buck Stove insert!! Had to sponge the water out this morning.

The pool is up to the overflow mark and was overflowing last night. I gauged 3.8 inches last night alone.

    Rain,rain, go away!!!!

Tyme that is almost exactly what I had yesterday and last night to. I told the boys here at work next week I was going to have them build an Arc and we could start gathering 2 of everything. I thought July was supposed to be dry, Ha.

Blame it on the Mexican's,dang El Nino'. I'm pretty sure we will have above average precepitation until next spring.Think I'll turn the pasture into a cranberry bog.

Don't know the amount but it has my yard feeling like mushy carpet. I mowed anyway and it really clumped up...oh well better than a drought.

That usually means that the river is coming up, and I have a couple days off. I hope it makes for good fishing!

DON'T GO ON THE OHIO NOW!!!

I know I just shouted, but the McAlpine lower is now up to 26.2 feet and rising a couple of tenths per hour. Upper gate is 50 feet of dam and lower is 40 feet. Predictions are Saturday 28 feet on the lower, Sunday 27 feet and Monday 25 feet.

Yea I'm about fed up with all this rain too...I think Fanatic is correct in mentioning El Nino as to being the blame...or some crazy hurricane somewhere...it seems that after a major hurricane happens that is effects our weather for a long time...Don't get me wrong, I like rain, I enjoy rain, I like listening to rain and I even like fishing in the rain...but enough is enough!

Tyme I was down there Fri. Fish were scattered I managed 3 all between 15 and 20#s. Counted 3 other boats, one boat was the conservation officers Mark and I met last week...They ask if I still had all my equipment and how the fishing was and were on there way. The rain and high water did make it easy to launch at the ampitheater. Chuck
