DID I MISS SOMETHING????????????? WHY DIDN"T GREG HACKNEY GET A 1 MILLION DOLLAR CHECK LIKE MICHAEL BENNETT DID LAST YEAR, AND LIKE SCOTT SUGGS DID THE YEAR BEFORE?????????????????

The check Hackney is holding up is still worth $500,000 (I would like to have), but its only half of the million I thought the Forrest Wood Cup was worth. I know there's a 2 million dollar purse, so where did the other $500,000 go????????????

Is it tied to using a Ranger Boat? A lot of the tournaments pay extra if you are in a particular boat, and in this case with Forrest Wood, I would bet it paid the extra 500K if you were in a Ranger. Just a guess.

Hackney is not in the Ranger Cup Program and did not meet the contingency requirements. He is sponsored by Triton. Same with Ike, if he would have won he would have only gotten 500K.

I'd say he got a bonus from Triton boats , although I have'nt seen or read anything on it . I'm pretty sure Triton pays a bonus to there owners an pro's .

Im pretty sure only the tournaments associated with the Triton Gold program is the only ones that offers the extra money for triton runners and FLW is Ranger Cup/Bombardier only.Hackney,Ike and Larry Nixon are not Ranger Cup qualified,im sure Hack will be re-thinking his boat decisions next year.

You know it would be nice to watch FLW Outdoors on Verus, but I just added DIRECTV two weeks ago and about 3 days ago they removed Versus from their lineup apparently due to the innability to reach an agreement DIRECTV and VERSUS have severed their ties and will no longer be available to me...this is BS! anybody have DIRECTV that this happened to? Not Cool!

Hey magik.... I've got the DishNetwork. I find I can get more channels and for a lower price. I've been with them for a little over 5 years or so. I have thought about changing to DirectTV, just so I could get the NFL Season Ticket, and even considered for a short while having both.... LOL Here our local channels are not in HD, so I miss having the HD NFL, but will have the NFL network in HD, and they are adding the RedZone.

But losing the fishing off of VS. will keep me from changing suppliers. Thanks for the heads up!!

    Tight lines,

    HDF

I called Direct TV and told them that it stinks and they are removing 50% of the cable progrmming that I watch on a regular basis, the other 50 % is ESPN 2. As you know it didn't do any good but I will look at other options when my contract is up.
