Vote Incumbants Out

I vote in every election also....but here is something I found on another site that describes career politicians to a tee:

A priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish.

A leading local politician and member of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and give a little speech at the dinner.
However, he was delayed, so the priest decided to say his own few words while they waited:
'' I got first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here. I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister.
I was appalled.

But as the days went on I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people. ''...

Just as the priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and gave his talk:

"I'll never forget the first day our parish priest arrived, " said the politician. ''In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession."

I saw Rand Paul in Brownsville last night and that makes twice that I have listened to him speak. I like what he has to say. If any of you have not checked him out I think you would like him.

I have read some about him and he ssems interesting. The Hardin County Tea Perty Patriots have him as their guest speaker on January 19th at 7 PM in the NOLIN RECC Bullding, 411 Ring Road, Elizabethtown,, if anyone wants to see/hear him. I am planning on going. I have been to a couple of the Tea Party meetings and they have had good speakers.

The Tea Party movement is catching on nationwide and may develope into a viable political party and give the Democrats and Republicans a run for their money.

Over the last several months I have seen several political posts recommending that in 2010 (this year) we vote all of the incumbants out of office. This sounds good to me but I am curious about something: How likely are you to actually vote in the Primary and General elections this year?

How many of you voted in the PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTIONS in 2008?
(I am not asking, and don't want to know, who you voted for, just if you voted)

I voted in both the Primary and General elections in 2008. I will definately vote in both elections this year.

In this county I live in there isn't a lot of voting I get to do in the primaries because there is almost never a republican running for anything ....The state and federal level is the only primary voting for a registered republican ...I have talked to several republicans that register democrat so they can have some say in the way the county is run ...kinda like taking money out of one pocket and putting it in the other so you can gain something ...

I think we should all vote for the same reason you guys do but in the last several years we have heard about giving folks rides to the polls so they can vote and things like that ...(I might get crucified here) but does anybody except me think that maybe we would be better off if the people that don't vote unless they are pushed or coaxed in some other way to vote would maybe just stay home that day....I have met a good many people that I would not want electing officials for me.

If the only reason you can find to vote for somebody is the "wiggle" of their tail or if you vote on the "hunk" scale then I would just as soon you stay home and watch Jerry Springer that day.

Ron Paul will be campaigning with his son Rand in Louisville at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center January 30 at 4 p.m. They are trying to raise Rand a little money for TV ads, so admission will be $25 per adult. Admittance for children is free.

I think you are right on this one.

If a person is interested in politics and the way our country is run he or she will find the way to the polls.
