Health Care Vote

Im not sure what all is involved with this health care vote.. this weekend...and that is on me. But I just finished watching Pres. Obama's speech today at George Mason Univ. (he just finished up); and once again he delives a speech that just was unreal; more passion than ever!...Love him or hate him people...that guy can sure lay down some speech talk. All I can say is...what ever Congress Votes on this weekend...then great! If passing the health care reform is the best for Americans..then great! If they vote it down, then their must be a good reason right??... I know I don't like it when Ins. company can run amuck...and raise your rates by 100%...and make crazy decisions with our health future. Man...you got to find this speech on the Net. and do it soon; it is something to see and hear...listen for yourself, and you be the judge. Im thinking that Pres. Obama is right on here fellas...I think they have this right on...right now. It will be one of the most historic votes of our times......wow, the magnitude of it. You know...sometimes...we might not agree on all things, but there must come a time when we do stick togeather as Americans...and when we do....hell itself can't lay a hand on us.

I haven't heard the speech yet, and I do agree with you that insurance companies can be assinine....but in my opinion, government run healthcare equals one more freedom lost. JMO

It totally blows my mind to read this stuff. The POTUS is right on gubment healthcare? Congress is right?? How many times does it take them to screw up before we say enough!!

Yes healthcare needs reform but start with tort reform and remove the restrictions of certain companies only beiing allowed in certain states. Remove the free healthcare to illegals (I don't give two rats squats about them..sorry but thats me)

You can be starry eyed by his hot wind blown speeches but I'm not. Look at all the crooked things being done to get it passed and at a time when the majority doesn't want it. It's wrong plain and simple. They should stop and do small things not a total overhaul!!! Come on man. So we are gonna pay for this for how many years? Then it starts working when?

Amen brother Don, testify brother TESTIFY!! Heck....You say the "majority" doesn't want it....and from everything I gather I believe this to be true. I know I don't want it and no one else that I have talked to, done business with or have been associated with in any way wants it. But I also know I can say the same thing about Obama being elected President, no one I have contact with ever wanted him to be President, but by golly he sure enough got elected!

I guess I'm in the wrong social group...or, maybe I'm in the right social group! Depends on how you look at it I guess

I havent read the whole bill but I think it is totally wrong to give free health to Illegals. I mean they will never go home if you treat them like Kings. My goodness your own citizens can't get free health care but you give it to illegals. God they could be terrorists. I am so against that. That is alot of money you are wasting that your own poor people could be using. I dont understand that at all. There is no logic in that at all. Now please if someone can explain it to me I would love to listen.

My wife and I are middle class and we don't want it AT ALL. I agree with others that said the way to fix it is tort reform. If there is no more money in medicine then guess what. We won't develop new ways to cure diseases. The reason why company's come up with new meds is there is money to be made.

They make one of the smallest profits of all companies.......2-3 percent profit margins is not that much.

Next time you wanna BITCH about a company ripping someone off....how about Auto Companies, and their 30% margins, or Kroger and their 50% margin, or WallMart with all their CHINA GARBAGE and their 50-90% profit margins.

Gosh! You sure did get caught up in the "passion of the moment." In college speech classes that is called a speech of persuasion; the speaker tries to convince his audience with an argument in favor of a particular subject. Many of them confuse their listeners with a lot of bs and call it "facts."

Wait until the analysis of that speech is released by the news and see just how many outright lies and how much disinformation was in it. IF THIS HEALTHCARE PROGRAM IS SO GREAT, WHY WON'T THE OBAMA FAMILY AND ALL THE SENATORS BE COVERED UNDER IT?
