    Best baitcaster for the money

What do you guys think the is the best baitcaster for under $150? I picked up a bps pro qualifier last summer for 79 bucks, but now they are $100. I would like to pick up a good reel and $150 is the very top of my budget. Thanks in advance for the help.

Keep your eyes peeled on craigslist. Picked up a Pro Qualifier on an XPS rod for $40 not too long ago. If buying new, I like Revo S, Pro Qual, and I have a soft spot for round reels so Abu 4600C4

the garcia revo "S" sure will take alot of abuse, it casts well, even into the breeze at night, lol. caught a boat load of 17,18 lb stripers on my oldest one and other than cleaning and oiling the reel never had to do anything to it....awesome reel. i had good luck dealing with "Tackle Direct" online.

Revo S! Best reel for the money. Bought mine at walmart for $99 and Bass pro sells them for 129. The centrifugal casting system is the way to go! Like the revo S better than my revo premier.

The Curado E can be had on ebay delivered from good sellers who sell them all the time for about $148. This is a great reel for the money and in a different league then a Revo S. The E7 is not as good as the $279 Revo Premier but I won't sell my E7's to buy more Premiers. The only reason I'd pass on the E7 is if you want a slow cranking reel.

I've also got a friends Shimano Citica in the basement which can be had for $95 on ebay new. I like it and prefer it over the Revo S which weighs over 1oz more.

For me, the extra $50 is worth it to get the spool and grips the E7 has over the Citica but I realize that $50 is alot of money difference.
