    Vicious fishing line

I need some new line and im gonna try fluorocarbon. I been looking and vicious seems to be the cheapest priced, but is it cheap made? If any one has tried it let me know. Also unsure of it cause they sponsor Gerald Swindle....

Remember this - G Man uses "Pro Elite" vicious. I too am going to give it a fair shake but I will not ever use the regular again on a spinning reel - too much memory for me.

It is ok. I used two or three spools of it. Do yourself a favor and buy Seagar Red Label. Red Label is very good line and for $10 you can't go wrong.

    Re: Vicious fishing line

I bought a spool of the "Pro Elite" at Tackle Warehouse for 800yds of 10lb test for like $26. I to have to agree the red label is good stuff and the invizX is even better in my opinion. But i have learned something that if you stretch your line out after a trip or two the memory isn't an issue at all. After spooling I tie one end to a swivel I nailed to a tree and walk out about 50yds click the bail/spool and give the line a GOOD stretching. You will see when you reel it back in the line is as limp as a noodle!!!!

Vicious is too stiff.....go with BPS XPS flouro or Seagar.

I like it on a baitcaster. It has better abrasion resistance than BPS.

    Re: Vicious fishing line

The old vicious felt terrible straight off the new spool. But the Pro Elite Fluoro feels awesome. Spooled 2 rods w/ 20lb. and 1 with 17lb have bought 10 and 14 as well. I like invis X but vicious's price and being on sale at BPS for 20% off. Can't beat it! This feels more like mono compare to XPS fluoro. It feels stiff and bumpy/nicked right off a new spool. Like Excel mono but not Xps fluoro. I'm excited about the vicious feels smoother and a thinner.

Dumb as a rock on flouro. Can you tie normal knots with it? Does it work as well on baitcaster, spinning and spin cast reels?
