    Dirty Reels?

From time to time on the forum I see the question "who does reel cleaning?". Well, allow me to answer that...I do. I've cleaned my own reels (and friends) for a few years now. I have recently decided to start cleaning a few more for some extra boat gas money!. Sorry, no repairs (for now anyway), just cleaning/lube of baitcasters and spinning reels $12.00 each. I'm located in Brownsville near Nolin and Barren River lakes. For questions e-mail me at [email protected] . In case it doesn't show up, there is an underscore _ between vortex and x2.

Email and private message sent. I'm not too far away from you and have 5 citicas and a quantum tour edition pt I need cleaned and would probably tear them up if I took them apart. I've had them for about 6 years, and been looking for someone to clean them. I could meet you somewhere around Stoney Bank or Old Tom Point if that's good for you. Thanks.

    Re: Dirty Reels?

I've been cleaning and repairing my own reels for over 25 years and even did it as a second job for several. It was nice when i had only a few reels to clean; it was a pain in the a## when I had thirty to do and customers wanting their reels back ASAP. This certainly cut into my fishing time, so I gave it up. Here's a little tip: mikesreelrepair.com has thr schematics of a lot of reels. Just drill down to the reel you're working on and zoom in the view to see exactly how all the parts fit back together correctly. Mike's is also a great place to order parts. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the tip! It's easy to find Shimano schematics (I own several anyway) and such, but I've been looking for a site like you provided. Thanks again!

Legend, thanks so much for the cleanings. My 5 year old citica cast better than new, and looks better than new too. I don't know what you put in them, but they are smooth as silk. Guys, this guy is for real and does great work. Thanks again, and it was nice to meet you and your wife the other day.

Legend, I tried the Quantum out today, and it works like new again. That brake was definately the problem. Thanks for cleaning all the gunk out. I was about to throw it in the lake and you brought it back from the dead.
