    No FNF for Elnut

Well Boys and Girls, it looks like the Smallies at Dale Hollow will enjoy another winter without me laying the smackdown on them. November 10 will be another date for me on the slab at UK Hospital. Looks like another pretty in depth operation, but what else is knew. The good thing is that the 6 inch incision will be on my right side just below my ribcage so at least I will have the same number of 6 inch or longer scars on both sides now. I was afraid to show off my 6 pack abs to the world because I had 1 more scar in my left side versus my right, but that will be taken care of then. This morning my Dr asked me was I ready to go thru with it and I told him no problem. He is guessing 8 hours on the slab and a couple of weeks in the hospital but we both know that means 12 hours on the table, 3 weeks in the hospital initially and another 2 months of complications and infections. My sons birthday is Nov 9 and mine is Nov 13 so at least I will get to celebrate his before they bring out the rusty knife and Fireline Braid

I might as well give my maps away with detailed instruction on how to fish each spot especially since I don't use a map at Dale in the winter. Heck I might as well give away my winter tackle box along with it because they sure are not doing me any good.

First of all that really ***** about you having to have another operation. Second you better not give anything away esp your map. Only a select few have access to that.(HAHAHA) This time the operation and recovery will go as planned and you will be able to join me sometime after the first of the year for some FnF. Take it easy, keep your head up and call me when you get a chance.

I hope your right but no way I am fishing this winter. Surgery will be an open procedure and with my history of staff infections the incision will be left open to close up in it's own. This will take a good 3 months or so if I don't have any complications. My guess is it will be Feb before the incision is closed. I don't get the fortune of having my incisions stapled close because of my staff infection history. But what else is knew, I dont have the money to go fishing and other than 2009 it seems that I miss some or all of the FNF season so I a used to it

Yeah I just got some disturbing news also, going in for a CT scan monday may need vascular surgery on the aorta, just when the weather starts to cool down, and the boat traffic lessens. But unlike you, I have had a lot of very good years.

I am sorry that you are having more health problems. While you have been plagued with staph infections in the past, that doesn't necessarily mean you will have it this time. I hope and pray you manage to dodge that bullet. Since you have to undergo the surgery, when they sew you up, you may as well have them embroidery your son's name on one scar and your wife's name on the other........and a smallmouth on your belly button for me.

I'm sorry you will miss the best fishing. All of our tomorrows are in God's hand and I'm believing that you and I will be well much quicker than what the doctors tell us.

    Praying for you.
