Small crankbaits, Rebel Crawls, roostertails, and small tube jigs have done well for me here. You'll find everything from largemouth, smallmouth, rock bass, bluegill, shellcracker, drum, catfish, and gar. My personal best fish there is a 4lb smallie. If you are willing to venture to far eastern Jefferson County, I could clue you in to a neighborhood pond that provides at least 5 3lb+ largemouth every time I go, and I have also caught a few 10lb+ catfish here too. Let me know if you'd like some more info.
